Businessman killed in Natore road mishap

A business was killed in a road accident at Dattapara bazar area under Sadar upazila in Natore district on Wednesday evening. The diseased was identified as Kanailal Agarwal, 42, son of Hordoar Agarwal of Nichabazar residential area in the town. Mizanur Rahman, officer in charge of Sadar police station and eye witnesses said, Kanailal Agarwal was returning home from Dattapara BSCIC industrial area at around 7pm.
 The accident occurred in Dattapara bazar while a passenger bus hit him from behind. Local people rescued him from the spot and rushed him to Natore sadar hospital. Later he died there.
Young girl commits suicide in Sylhet

A young girl committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree at Shibgonj under Sadar upazila in the district on Sunday night. The victim was Ratna 18 Sources said, in a huff with the other members of his family, Ratna hanged himself from a Siling Fan nearby his house at dead night. Later, locals spotted hanging body and informed police. Informed, police rushed to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to Sylhet Medical Hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Officer-in-Charge of Shahporan Thana.
Digital Mela begins in Gouripur

A one-day Digital Mela-2015 began at Gouripur R.K. High School premises in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh on Tuesday organised by Gouripur upazila administration. Freedom Fighter Alhajj Dr. Capt. (Retd.) Mujibur Rahman Fakir MP, Former State Minister for Health & Family Welfare inaugurated the fair as the chief guest and Dur-e-Shahwas ,UNO of Gouripur upazila presided over the function.About 25 stalls were set up in the fair. Government and non-government organisations, enterprises, schools, colleges like Govt. Technical School and College, Gouripur R.K.Govt. High school, Gouripur Pilot Girls High School, Nurul Amin Khan High School, Agradut Niketon Adarsha High School, Govt.Textile Vocational Institute, Upazila Agriculture Office, Anik Computer, Achintapur Union Parishad. Kowsar Aziz ,A.C. (Land), Shahjahan Siraj, Upazila Agriculture Officer were present as special guests.
Gafargaon poura committee of HR body formed
Gafargaon Municipal executive committee of Bangladesh Human Rights Commission has been formed recently .Life-time member and distinguished businessman Abdul Hamid Bachhu and Alhaz Mir Jahangir Hossain has been elected president and secretary respectively .On Friday evening at Upazila Human Rights Commission office the committee has been formed unanimously. Journalist’s mother passes away

Hamida Khatun (76), wife of late Mawlana Abdul Haq of village Baruipara under Bagerhat Sadar Upazila, mother of Rezaul Karim Reza, Khulna Bureau Chief of the daily Ittefaq and former President of Bagerhat Press Club and elder sister of Prof. ABM. Mosharraf Husain, Bagerhat based district correspondent of The New Nation and former President of Bagerhat press Club breathed her last on Tuesday in the morning in her village home due to old age complicates, She left behind 3 sons, one daughter, grand children and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death. She was pious, religious minded, well behaved and amiable in nature all through her life.
Her Namaj-e-Janaja was held in Baruipara Siddiquia Senior Madrasa premises on the same day after after Asar prayer. It was attended journalists from Bagerhat, Pirojpur, Khulna and jessore and a good number Ulemas. She was buried in her family graveyard, adjacent to the Madrsa.
President and Secretary General of Bagerhat Press Club and President and Secretary General of Khuilna Press Club condoled the death of Hamida Khatun and expressed their sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.
