Teachers’ recruitment without rules protested

Bangladesh Technical School and College Teachers’ Association, Rangpur Divisional Committee formed a human chain and protest meeting against new appointment of Government Technical School and College teachers without promotion based on experience. The teachers of Government Technical School and College of Rangpur Division arranged a human chain in front of Rangpur Press Club Sunday afternoon. At this time, the teachers complained and said that despite being associated with the technical institute for a long time, their experience is being devalued by hiring new ones without evaluating them, whereas if the experienced ones are evaluated in the technical institute, the speed of work will increase as well as it will be helpful in creating the learning environment of the students. Under the chairmanship of Divisional Committee Convener Shariful Islam, teacher leaders Sanaullah, Mizanul Haque, Delwar Hossain, Bakul Saha, Fakrul Islam, engineer Abdus Samad, Dhanjoy Chandra Pal, ABM Badruddoza, Hafiz Al Asad, Hedayetul Islam, Masudar Rahman, Abdul spoke in the protest meeting.

On the occasion of the 47th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, a Milad Mahfil and memorial meeting was held in Gazipur Sadar Upazila at the initiative of Bhawalgarh Awami League of at Nayanpur Eidgah ground in Rajendrapur RP Gate area of Bhawalgarh Union of Sadar Upazila on Saturday. The discussion meeting and Doa Mahfil were held under the chairmanship of Bhawalgarh Union Awami League Convener and Gazipur Sadar Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Riaz Uddin Riaz and joint Convener Mahmudul Kabir Ratan as the chief guest on the life and work of the Father of the Nation. Gazipur-3 Constituency Member of Parliament Muhammad Iqbal Hossain Sabuj MP. Among others, Adv Reena Parveen, convener of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Awami League and Chairman of Sadar Upazila Parishad, was present as a special guest. Former Chairman of Bhawalgarh Union Parishad Salah Uddin Sarkar, Joint Convenor of Gazipur Sadar Upazila Awami League Zahirul Islam Khan, Liton Miah, Harun-Or Rashid BSC, Kofiluddin BSC, Hanif Mahmud, leaders and activists of various units of Gazipur Sadar Upazila and brave freedom fighters were present. After Milad and prayers, food was distributed among the present leaders and workers and the needy.
