Cover of book ‘927 square miles’ unveiled

Rangpur District Administration and District Social Service Office organized the unveiling ceremony of the book “927 square miles” published by district social service. Social Welfare Ministry Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam was present as the chief guest in District Art Academy Auditorium on Thursday.
Rangpur District Social Services Deputy Director, Md. Abdul Matin presided over the event and Rangpur Divisional Commissioner, Md. Sabirul Islam, Rangpur Range DIG, Mohd. Abdul Alim Mahmud BPM, Rangpur Metropolitan Police Police Commissioner, Nure Alam Mina BPM (Bar), PPM were present as special guests on the occasion. Deputy Commissioner Md. Asib Ahsan, Superintendent of Police, Md. Ferdous Ali Chowdhury. Departmental Social Services Office Director (Deputy Secretary) Md. Abdul Motaleb Sarkar, and Additional Director (Planning and Development), Directorate of Social Services, Md. Kamruzzaman, Rangpur District Awami League, President, Mumtaz Uddin Ahmed, Advocate Md. Rezaul Karim Raju, Rangpur spoke. District Branch; Safiur Rahman Sofi, Rangpur Mahanagar and Tushar Kanti Mandal were also present there.
DC, Sylhet visits SOS Shishu Palli

Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Mojibor Rahman visited SOS Shishu Palli Sylhet at Dayamir Union of Osmaninagar Upazila in the district on Thursday afternoon, the Deputy Commissioner was greeted with flowers by the Shishu Palli Children’s. Osmani Nagar upazila executive officer Neelima Raihana, director of SOS Shishu Palli Sylhet Md. Yusuf Ali, Assistant director Mazharul Islam Khan, In-charge of SOS Social Center Sylhet Tanvir Ahmed and Officials of various government departments and public representatives were present. Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Md. Mujibur Rahman Osmani Nagar upazila participated in the discussion meeting on the implementation and progress of development activities.

A mobile court conducted by Md. Jahangir Alam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) and Executive Magistrate of Morrelganj in Bagehat district convicted one Abu Bakar Siddique, Director of an unauthorized Medical Training Institute named Morrelganj BTF Medical Rural Physician (Pally Chikitsak) training institute and to pay a fine of Tk50 thousand on the charge of imparting medical training to the trainees for years together illegally and unlawfully and sealed out the institute on Friday, according to a delayed report received here, When the Mobile Court wanted the director to show the legal papers and documents issued by the concerned authorities in favour of the training institute: but he failed to do so.
Then the Mobile Court warned the director to be refrained from such unlawful activities in future.
