Workshop on drug abuse held

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi has said that the government will provide food aid to 50 million people in the country through family protection cards from this month to curb the rise in daily necessities. He made the call while addressing a day-long workshop on formulating an integrated action plan for building a social movement to curb drug abuse at the initiative of Home Ministry’s Security Services Department and Rangpur Divisional Administration in the Hall Room of Rangpur Tourism Motel on Wednesday afternoon. Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Md. Abdul Wahab Bhuiyan presided over the workshop. Among others, Secretary of Security Services Department Md. World Milk Day observed in Naogaon
NAOGAON : The World Milk Day was observed in the district on Wednesday in a befitting manner as elsewhere in the world. In 2001, World Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of United Nations announced June 1 as World Milk Day. Marking the day, district Animal Resources Department arranged a discussion on “Sustainability in the dairy Sector as well as Environmental, Nutritional and Socio-economic Empowerment”.
