Awareness seminar on cattle rearing held

 A public awareness seminar on cow fattening was held on Thursday afternoon at Abdul Quader Community Center in the municipal area with more than 50 farmers of the sector on the occasion of the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha. The seminar was organized by Gafargaon Upazila Livestock Hospital. Upazila Livestock Officer MD. Ariful Islam spoke in the direction of the seminar. Among others, journalist Sheikh Abdul Awal, journalist and assistant professor Arshad Ahmed, Khamari Taleb Mia and others spoke. Livestock officer Md. Ariful Islam said a total of 12,037 animals including 5751 bulls, 694 cows, 29 buffaloes, 5023 goats and 56 sheep are ready for the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.

Leaders and activists of Chhatra League have held a protest procession and a protest meeting in Ishwardi to protest against the harsh remarks made against Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
