Rouna union Champion in Bangabandhu Cup

Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman National Gold Cup Football Tournament U-17 final match has been held in Gafargaon. Rouna Union faced Saltia Union in the match organized by the upazila administration on Wednesday afternoon at the municipal Gohata ground. Raona Union became the champion by defeating Saltia Union 0-1 in the final. MP Fahmi Gulandaz Babel was present as the chief guest in the game. Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Abidur Rahman Chaired the final match Upazila Parishad Chairman Ashraf Uddin Badal, Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abul Kashem, Upazila Vice Chairman Ataur Rahman and chairmen of 15 Union Parishads were also present. At the end of the match Fahmi Gulandaz Babel handed over the prizes between the champion and runner-up teams.

Farewell, freshers’ reception held in BAUET

A cultural programme ‘Swapnil’ was held at the Bangladesh Army University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) campus in Kadirabad cantonment area of Natore on Monday to mark the farewell of the 7th batch students and the renewal of the 11th-14th batch students. Kadirabad Cantonment Station Commander Brigadier General Md. Muniruzzaman, NDC, PSC was present as the chief guests and Vice Chancellor of the University Brigadier General Md. Mostafa Kamal addressed as welcome on the occasion. The chief guest called upon all concerned to impart education while maintaining the quality of education. High ranking officials of Kadirabad Cantonment, Deans of different faculties of the University, Heads of Departments, Proctors, Provosts, faculty members of different departments, final year students, officers and staff were present on the occasion. Under the direction of Assistant Professor Md. Al Amin, Head of the Department of Social Sciences and President of the Cultural Club, the students of BAUET performed plays, dances, patriotic songs and advertisements. Earlier, in the first part of the program on Monday afternoon, the Vice Chancellor of the University Brigadier General Md. Mostafa Kamal distributed crests among the departing students and presented flowers to the new students.
