Ramzan food package distributed

Profit Foundation, a local non-government organization, has taken initiative to distribute Ramzan packages among 100 poor, helpless and disadvantaged families in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat district of Rangpur division on Sunday. Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner Md. Abu Jafar was present as the chief guest at the distribution function at Dalgram Dakhil Madrasa ground premises of Kaliganj Upazila. Kaliganj Assistant Commissioner (Land) Israt Jahan Chhani was present as special guest. Iqbal Hossain, Muslim Aid UK Co-ordinator Khandaker Abdul Quader Raju, PF Executive Director Md. Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Muslim Aid UK Senior Officer Md. Shah Aliullah, Dalgram Dakhil Madrasa Super, Md. Nurul Islam and others. During the holy month of Ramadan, Muslim Aid UK distributed 45.5 kg of food items to poor and needy families during the holy month of Ramadan.
Mobile court fined shops

Brahmanbaria Bijoynagar UNO and Executive Magistrate AH Irfan Uddin Ahmed collected the fines by conducting a mobile court in Harashpur Dewan Bazar area of Harashpur UP during market monitoring during the holy month of Ramzan. In 6 cases, 6 persons were fined Tk 14,000. In this regard, UNO said that consumers in the sweet shops during the holy month of Ramzan. When buying 1000 grams of sweets, the shopkeepers are selling less than 200 to 180 grams of goods through fraud in market monitoring, the operation is conducted on the basis of allegations that there is no price list in the shops, if any such crime is reported in the near future stick action will be taken.
Crocodile recovered

A tender aged crocodile of saline water spices was recovered by the forest department of Sundarbans from a shrimp farm belonging to one Akram Hossain of village Burirdanga under Mongla Upazila in Bagerhat recently according to a report received here. t is learnt from Azad Kabir, Officer-in-charge of Karamjal tourist spot abd wild animal-breeding center under Chandpai Forest Range in the Eastern Division of Sundarbans (in Bagerhat district) told, on Tuesday morning Akram Hossain of Burirdanga village found a crocodile in his shrimp farm and informed the forest department of the matter. Being informed of the matter some officials and forest guards of Chandpai Forest Range went to the spot at 10 am and recovered the crocodile from the fish farm.
