Oxygen Bank inaugurated at Bhangura

Alhaj Md. Mokbul Hossain, Member of Parliament for Pabna-3 Constituency and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Land Ministry inaugurated the Oxygen Cylinder Bank and High Flow Nozzle Canola Project at Bhangura Upazila Health Complex in Pabna on Monday. JICA implemented the project under the Upazila Management and Development Project under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives to address COVID under FY 2019-2020. It spends about Tk.26 lakh. UNO Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan presided over the function. Among others Upazila Parishad Chairman Alhaj Md. Baki Billah, OC Md. Faisal Bin Ahsan, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Halima Khanam, Upazila Vice Chairman Golam Hafiz Ranju and Azida Parveen Pakhi, Jubo League leader Ibnul Hasan Shakil were present there.
Allowance books distributed in Tarash

Distribution of allowance books among the elderly, widows and abandoned persons was inaugurated at Tarash in Sirajganj organised by Upazila Social Service Office on Tuesday morning. Under the chairmanship of UNO Mezbaul Karim at the Upazila Parishad premises. A total of 7,428 books will be distributed in the upazila for the payment of allowances to the elderly and 5,766 books will be distributed among the widows and widowers for the payment of allowances. Upazila Parishad Principal Moniruzzaman Moni inaugurated the programme as the Chief Guest and distributed books among the elderly, widows and abandoned persons. Among others, Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Lecturer Morzina Islam, Tarash Sadar UP Chairman Babul Sheikh, Talam UP Chairman Abbas-uz-Zaman, Upazila Social Service Officer AKM Moniruzzaman, Project Implementation Officer Nur Mamun, UP members and many others were present in the programme.
Six cows stolen in Gafargaon

An organized gang of thieves stole six cows from two farmers in one night at Gafargaon under Mymensingh. The theft took place at Charamshaland Paschimpara Village in Charalgi Union of the upazila on Monday night. It is learned that the farmers went to sleep on Monday night with their cows tied as usual. Later in the morning he got up and saw that 3 cows and 1 bull calf of Sheikh Mohammad Millat Sajib, 2 cows and 1 bull of Kajal Mia were stolen. In the morning, the farmers could not find the cows in the barn and searched the whole area and found no trace of them. There is panic among farmers over the theft of six cows from two houses in one night. Confirming the incident, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gafargaon Police Station Mohammad Faruk Ahmed said necessary legal action is being taken in the incident.
