New UP member arranges victory rally in Tarash

A newly elected UP member arranged a victory rally riding on an elephant at Hamkuria Ward of Magura Binod Union Parishad in Tarash upazila. The 5th phase of the Union Parishad elections was held on Wednesday. Ibrahim Hossain Mridha was elected as a member by a huge vote. Ward 6 residents have joined the villagers in an exceptional joyous procession with 2 elephants and a horse carriage, an auto-van and other equipment. The eager people of the area are gathering to see it at a glance. Various types of color games are going on. No one left out after the joy of this color game. The area has become the mouthpiece of the people. In this regard, the newly elected UP member Ibrahim Hossain Mridha said he is eternally grateful to his people for electing me by use.
1,000 yaba tablets seized in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 1,000 yaba tablets from Shibganj upazila frontier area of the district on Wednesday night. On a tip-off, a patrol team of BGB from Sonamasjid Border outpost conducted a raid in Koilabari frontier area of the upazila at about 7.30 pm and recovered the yaba tablets in an abandoned condition, BGB sources said, reports BSS.
Training of Morrelganj Woman Agri Training Inst begins

A 3-month long training course of 35th batch of Morrelganj Woman Agriculture Training Institute was inaugurated by Adv. Amirul Alam Milon, MP of Bagerhat Constutency-4 (Morrelganj and Sharankhola Upazila) as Chief Guest on Wednesday while it was presided over by its Officer-in-charge Dr. Mokhlesur Rahman. Md. Jahangir Alam, Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Morrelganj, M Emadul Haq, General Secretary of Morrelganj Upazila Awami League and Mozammel Haq Mozam, Vice- chairman of Upazila Awami League were present in the ceremony as special guests. Some 100 woman trainees from the different places of the country were admitted in the institute. During the period they will reside in the institute as resident students and will be given training in different courses like computer, dress-making and beautification etc. In the same occasion certificates and cash as allowances were distribute among as many as 60 trainees of 34th batch of the institute.
