Robbery in former Ansar ‘s houses

A gang of organized miscreants looted cash and gold ornaments from the house of Sayed Ali Shaikh, a retired Ansar member of Village Khalishakhali under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat after breaking open the window-grilles and beating and making him and his wife senseless on Sunday night, according to a delayed report received here. It is learnt from the locals and the police that at the night when old Sayed Ali and his old wife Margina Begum fell asleep the miscreants raided the house, entered it after breaking open its window-grilles. Then the miscreants beat both the husband and wife mercilessly so that they (husband & wife) can hand over their cash and gold ornaments, but in vain. Later the miscreants spread liquid seductive on their face. As a result, the old couple fell asleep. Taking this opportunity the miscreants broke the almirah, looted cash Tk.1.5 lakh and 9 vories gold ornament and fled away. In the following morning their relatives recovered the senseless couple in Bagerhat Sadar Hospital where Sayed Ali regained his sense but his wife is unconscious till the writing of this report. Heraji Begum, the only daughter of the couple told in the morning, my younger daughter went to my father’s residence and found the front window of the dwelling house is opened and its grilles were broken. Then she entered into the house and found my parents are unconscious. Being informed of the matter we rushed to the spot and admitted them to Kachua Upazila Health Complex for their treatment. But considering their precarious condition they were shifted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital where my father regained his sense, but my mother is still unconscious. SI Mohammad Shahor Ali of Kachua PS told, on information we visited the residence of the old couple and found, the windows and window-grilles of the house are very old. So, the miscreants easily broke the window-grilles and entered into the house. He added, as the old couple is still unconscious in Bagerhat Sadar Hospital we cannot talk with them. In spite of that legal procedure is going on in this connection
