Road mishap kills one

A young man died at Jessore Medical College Hospital on Saturday night after he was wounded critically in a road mishap at Bakulia under Kaligonj upazila in Jhenidah. The dead were identified as Ashraful Islam, 22, son of Abu Teleb Khan of Jhenidah Sadar upazila. Family members and hospital sources said Ashraful wounded critically as a nasiman in which he was going home was hit by a goods laded truck at around 7pm on Saturday. He was declared dead after he had rushed to Jessore Medical College Hospital.
Founding anniv of IFB observed in Gopalganj

The founding anniversary of Islamic Foundation Bangladesh(IFB) was observed in Gopalganj on Sunday. Islamic Foundation, Gopalganj District Unit organised rally, discussion meeting and Milad Mahfil to mark the Day. On the occasion , Islamic Foundation, Gopalganj brought out a colourful rally and it paraded the main roads in the city. After the rally, a discussion meeting was held at Islamic Foundation Office Conference room. Md Mizanur Rahman, SP, Gopalganj and Engineer Syed Anisur Rahman, Principal, Model Polytechnic Institute, Gopalganj and Alhaj Sheikh Ruhul Amin, Senior Vice President, Zilla AL, Gopalganj were present as the chief and special guests respectively. Sheikh Akramul Haque, Deputy Director (DO), Islamic Foundation, Gopalganj presided over the function. Earlier, Chapal Mahmud, Field Officer, Islamic Foundation. Gopalganj gave welcome speech. Among others Hafez Maolana Abdul Kuddus, Teacher, Moszid Bittik Shishu Gonoshiksha Karjyokram. Gopalganj Sadar, Md Abdur Rashid, Field Supervisor & Mustakim Billah, Master Trainer, Islamic Foundation, Gopalganj were spoke on the occasion.
