New laboratory opens at SAU

A new laboratory named “Laboratory of Aquatic Biodiversity and Evolution” has been inaugurated at Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) on Tuesday. The laboratory was inaugurated at the Faculty of Fisheries. at the initiative of the Department of Fisheries Biology and Anthropology, the Department of Public Relations and Publications said. The laboratory was inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor of Sikribi Prof. Dr. Md. Matiar Rahman Hawladar. At the end of the inauguration, He toured the various equipments and museums. Later, a discussion meeting was held in the conference room of the Faculty of Fisheries. Chairman of the Department of Fisheries Biology and Genetics Professor. Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nirmal Chandra Roy was the chief guest at the discussion. Md. Matiar Rahman Hawladar. Dr. Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries Prof. Dr. Shamima Nasrin spoke as a special guest in the discussion meeting. Mrityunjaya Kunda. Vice Chancellor. Meanwhile, the Aquatic Biodiversity and Evolution Laboratory has opened new doors for research in the region.
Nat’l Income Tax Day celebrated

Rangpur Tax Region has celebrated National Income Tax Day with the theme ‘Direct tax is paying, Bangladesh is a role model for development’. On Tuesday the day was celebrated through various arrangements in accordance with the rules of health. Abu Hannan Delwar Hossain, Tax Commissioner, Rangpur, inaugurated the day by cutting a cake.
Additional Tax Commissioner Manjur Alam, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes (Headquarters Administration) Syed Nurul Huda, Deputy Commissioner of Taxes, Headquarters (Practical) Raufur Rahman, President of Rangpur Chamber Mostafa Sohrab Chowdhury Titu and others were present on the occasion. Tax Commissioner Abu Hannan Delwar Hossain said the presence of taxpayers was noticeable this year as well, following the rules of health, overcoming the effects of the Corona epidemic.
JL activist killed in Kuliarchar UP election

A Jobo League(JL) activist named Delowar Hossain (37) was shot dead in Kishoreganj’s Kuliarchar. Victim Delowar died at a private hospital in the capital on Tuesday night.
According to the locals, the voting for the 3rd phase of Union Parishad( UP) election was going on November, 28.(Sunday). Supporters of Awami League rival candidate Saiful Islam’s motorcycle clashed with a winner of a Boat candidate Enamul Haque. Abu Bakker’s supporters at Abdullahpur Govt. Primary School in Kuliarchar at noon.
Police fired a few rounds to control the situation At least four people were shot at that time. They are Rana(35),Sabbir (18),Haroon( 30) and Anowar Delowar. Police Super( SP) in Kishoreganj Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM(Bar) told the New Nation that Police fired blank shots to control the clash between the supporters of the two candidates.
