Tricycles, van distributed

Tricycles and foot vans were distributed in Tarash of Sirajganj on Monday. UNO Mezbaul Karim distributed tricycles to the physically disabled Maulana Baziuzzaman and a van to Abdul Mannan at the Upazila Parishad premises. At the initiative of Village Vision and the central organization of Dhaka University (PASHE ACI) and with the funding of another social organization called Sirajganj Sukh Pakhi. Director of Village Vision Sharif Khandaker, volunteers of Village Vision Masum Billah, Naeem, Shakil Hossain and many others were present at that time.
Memorial meeting held for journalists

Under the auspices of Bagerhat Press Club a Doa Mahfil and remembrance meeting was held in its Auditorium for its late members (journalists) on Friday morning with Nakib Sirajul Haq, Vice-President of the club in the chair. It was addressed among others by its founder president and ex-MP of Bagerhat Constituency-2 Adv. Mir Shawkat Ali Badsha, Prof. ABM. Mosharraf Husain, founder member of the Club and Bagerhat district based correspondent of The daily New Nation, formers presidents Ahad Uddin Haidar, Ahsanul Karim and Md. Delwar Hossain and former General Secretary (of the Club) Bisnuprosad Chakrabarty recalling the contributions of the late members towards the development of the Press Club as well as to the people of country through their writings. Later a Doa Mahfil was held for the salvation of departed souls of the late journalists.
