Final of IGP Cup Kabaddi held

Singair Upazila boys team and Girls team became the champions in the IGP Cup National Youth Kabaddi Under-19 competition at Manikganj recently . Shibalaya Upazila girls team defeated Harirampur Upazila girls team by 45-40 points and Singair Upazila boys team defeated Ghior Upazila boys team by 75-54 points. Manikganj SP Mohammad Golam Azad Khan distributed prizes among the winners.
Manikganj Municipal Mayor Md. Ramzan Ali, District Sports Association General Secretary Sudeb Kumar Saha, District Sports Association Kabaddi Sub-Council Convener Kazi Enayet Hossain Tipu and Member-Secretary Selim Parvez along with officials of various levels of District Sports Association and District Police were present. In collaboration with the district police, 10 Kabaddi teams from seven upazilas of the district took part in the competition organized by the district sports association. The two champion teams in the district will get a chance to take part in the regional level competitions later.

The Covid-19 vaccination drive for the school and College students has begun here amid much enthusiasm. Civil Surgeon (CS)in Kishoreganj Dr.Mujibur Rahman formally inaugurated the vaccination
campaign at local Art Council Auditorium as the chief guest on Monday. District Administration in Kishoreganj including Civil Surgeon Office arranged the inaugural function of the vaccination drive in cooperation with District Art Council Parishad.
ADC (Education and ICT) Golam Mostafa presided over the vaccination programme. Deputy Director (DD) in Kishoreganj General Hospital Dr. Helaluddin Ahamed, Gurudhayal Govt. College Vice-principal Prof Mustaqur Rahman, District Education Officer (DEO),Deputy Civil Surgeon (DCO) Dr. Mostafizur Rahman, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, CAB District President Alam Sarowar Tito and others dignified persons were also present at the event.
