AL extended meet held

A special extended meeting of Daulatpur Upazila Awami League was held in Manikganj ahead of the forthcoming Union Parishad election on the grounds of Daulatpur Pilot Girls High School on Saturday.
Director of Bangladesh Cricket Board and Member of Parliament for Manikganj-1 constituency AM Naimur Rahman Durjoy MP was present as the chief guest in the meeting. DaulatpurUpazilaAwami League President AzizulHaque presided over the function where Manikganj District Council Chairman and District Awami League President Bir Muktijoddha Golam Mohiuddin, General Secretary Bir muktijoddha Abdus Salam, Advisor to the heroic freedom fighter Abul Kashem, Joint General Secretary Birmuktijoddha Badrul Islam Khan Bablu, Tayebur Rahman Tipu, Kazi Enayet Hossain Tipu, Organizing Secretary AFM Sultanul Azam Khan Apel, Azizul Islam Mottu, Publicity Secretary Habibur Rahman, Office Secretary Ehtesham Bhunu, Daulatpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Nurul Islam Rajapur, Jubo league Convener Humayun Kabir Shaon, Upazila Chhatra League President Engineer Nasir Uddin and others spoke. Daulatpur Upazila Awami League General Secretary Abdul Quddus Conducted the function.
After the programme, the chief guest A M Naimur Rahman Durjoy inaugurated the newly constructed office building of Daulatpur Upazila Awami League and its affiliated organizations.
Training for doctors held

Two days long training course on ‘Primary Trauma care and Non Operative Fracture Management’ for doctors took place at Sirajganj Municipal Convention Hall recently. The new physicians of Sirajganj Shaheed M Mansur Ali Medical College participated in the course. The content of the course was to extend proper medical management and knowledge of injured patients including first aid services with non-surgical treatment method. The programme was organised under the patronization of the Switzerland-based international organization AO Alliance. Since 2015, it has been imparting basic training to orthopedic surgeons in middle-income countries. Dr. Md. Khorshed Alam, Associate Prof Department of Orthopedic Surgery, Dhaka Medical College Hospital presided over the function. Among others, Dr. Mohammad Rajib Mahmud and Dr. Fazlul Haque Qasim, Course Coordinator of AO Alliance Asia Pacific Steering Committee was also present. Besides, Dr. Santanu Dhar Emon and Dr. AB Abdullah of National faculty and Dr Waliul Islam Takulder, president of local organization committee were also present in the programme. President (Swachip) Sirajganj and Local Organization committee Dr. Md. Zulfiqar Ali, Dr. Sanad Kumar Kundu, Dr. Delwar Hossain and Dr. Mahmudul Hasan were also present in this regard. The event was administered by Shaheed M Mansur Ali Medical College and the 250-bed Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib General Hospital, Sirajganj.
