State owned largest commercial bank Sonali Bank Limited secured first position among all government banks in implementing Annual Performance Agreement (APA) 2020-21. Financial Institution Division of Finance Ministry congratulated Sonali Bank authority for their achievement to implement the indicators included in agreement held between the organizations, said a press release.
Expressing his satisfaction for the achievement, Sonali Bank Limited CEO and Managing Director Md Ataur Rahman Prodhan greeted all the employees for their outstanding contribution to provide services to the doorstep during pandemic hit clients. He said they had successfully implemented the stimulus packages announced by the government to revive the Pandemic hit economy.

TSLC Alliance set to launch ‘CASHe’ in BD

CASHe Alliance Limited, the joint venture between The Social Loan Company (TSLC) and Alliance Holdings, will be launching CASHe in Bangladesh. CASHe is an online credit solution platform which promises to deliver appropriate, affordable, accessible and differentiated financial solutions to middle-income consumers in the country, said a press release.
In collaboration with Banks, Financial Institutions and other Micro Credit lenders, CASHe will enable customers to access end-to-end tech-enabled financial solutions, including loan eligibility, application approval, document, and disbursal on one single platform. Unlike anything in the past, the AI/ML-driven platform will instantly allow lenders to disburse short-term personal loans from BDT 15,000 to BDT 50,000 with an initial credit period ranging from 2 to 12 months, making it the most accessible app-based credit lending platform in the country.

Mastercard gets new AMD

Mastercard has announced the appointment of Sohail Alim as their new account management director for Bangladesh.
In this role, Alimwill be responsible for supporting customer relationships and will work on the company’s key priorities in the country, including managing partnerships with banks and fintechs, said a press release.
He will report to Syed Mohammad Kamal, Mastercard Bangladesh’s country manager.
Prior to joining Mastercard, Alim was head of credit cards at Standard Chartered Bank (SCB).
