Hundreds of goods-laden trucks stuck at Paturia ferry terminal

Several hundred goods-laden trucks are stuck at Paturia ferry ghat as pressure of vehicles has slightly increased on the Paturia-Daulatdia route.
There were more than 500 trucks waiting at the terminal in the morning, our Manikganj correspondent reports after a visit.
The ferry service on the Paturia-Daulatdia route is normal as 18 out of 19 ferries are in operation, said Md Zillur Rahman, deputy general manager (commerce) at Aricha Regional Office of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC).
BGB-BSF conference rescheduled for

The formal meeting will start at 10:45am on September 17 at the conference room at BGB Headquarters, reports UNB.

Railway to carry passengers at full capacity from today

Bangladesh Railway (BR) will start operating all its passenger train services at full capacity from today (Wednesday).
As part of the decision, the BR will sell 50 per cent tickets through online and 50 per cent at the counters.
According to Senior Public Relation Officer Shariful Alam, Ministry of Railway in a meeting on Tuesday took the decision in presence of Railway Minister Mohammad Nurul Islam Sujon.
