4 of a family injured in Bagerhat clash

Four members including 2 women of a family were injured by the opponents over the plucking of cocoanuts from a plot of disputed land in the village Harikhali within Bagerhat Pourashava recently . The injured persons were admitted to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for their treatment. In this connection a case was registered with Bagerhat Model PS against 3 persons. It is stated in the case that in the morning one Habibur Rahma, his son Naim and some 5/6 others of the village were plucking cocoanuts and other fruits from a plot of land belonging to neighbour Golam Rasul Shaikh (of the village) forcibly. But when Rezaul, son of Golam Rasul opposed them the opponent Habi stabbed him with sharp knife. As a result, he was injured seriously and cried out loudly. On hearing the crying his elder brother Raja, sister-in-law Sbikun Nahar and wife Hena Karim rushed to the spot and tried to protect him (Rezaul Karim). Then the opponents fell on them. As a result, they sustained severe injuries. The injured persons were recovered by the neigbours and admitted them to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital. Mahatab Uddin, Officer-in-charge of Bagerhat Model PS told the newsmen, mother of the injure persons registered a case with the PS as the plaintiff mentioning the names of three persons. Police already visited the place of occurrence and an officer was appointed to investigate into the matter.
4 snatchers held with police uniforms in Rajshahi
RAJSHAHI: Police arrested four youths with police uniforms and five mobile phones on charge of their alleged involvement in criminal activities here on Saturday . The arrested persons were identified as Ruhul Amin, 20, Niloy, 20, Sagar Hossain, 22, and Shraban Islam, 20. All are residents of Katakhali area in the city. A patrol police team arrested them for their suspicious movement in Shucharan area under the same Police Station in the city around 9.30 pm, police said. The team recovered five police jackets and five mobile phone sets from their possessions. Quoting their confessional statements, police sources said they were involved in terrorists and snatching activities in disguise of police for long in the city, reports BSS.
Terrorists held with arms in Jhenaidah

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in a drive held two terrorists with a pistol and a rifle from Dak Bangla area in Sadar upazila here recently. The arrested were identified as Asadul Islam Asha, 35, hailed from Alamdanga upazila and Asanur Rahman, 38, an inhabitant of Jibannagar upazila in Chuadanga district. Company Commander of Jhenaidah RAB camp Police Superintendent Masud Alam said, on information, they conducted a raid in the Dak Bangla area last night and nabbed them with the firearms. The detainees were accused of a number of cases including murder and kidnapping. The terrorists were handed over to Sadar Thana Police this noon.
