8 fined, 70 maunds Jatka recovered in Barishal

Coast Guard in collaboration with fishery department recovered seventy maunds (about 2800 Kg.) Jatka (hilsa fries less than ten inches in length) from eight battery operated three-wheelers and detained eight persons Palashpur bridge area of the city on Wednesday. Dr. Bimal Chandra Das, district fishery (hilsa) officer, on basis of secret information they opening a check post at Palashpur bridge area detained eight auto rickshaws carrying those Jatka. Those Jatkas were collected from the river at Taltali area and transporting to Barishal wholesale hilsa market at Port Road area of the city.Later, the recovered Jatka and detained autorickshaws placed before the mobile court at evening. The court fined the detained eight autorickshaw drivers total Tk.40 thousand (each Tk.5000) and asked to distribute the recovered Jatka among different religious institutions and orphanages, the fishery officer added.
Double cabin-pick-ups distributed in Haor PS

Double-cabin air condition pickups were distributed to three police stations Itna, Mithamoin and Austagram on Monday afternoon. The distribution ceremony was held at Mithamoin Police Station Complex . Rejowan Ahamed Tofique MP attended as chief guest while Police Super (SP) Md. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) presided over the function . It was addressed among others by Additional SP (Promoted SP) Nazmul Islam, Mithamoin Upazila Chairman Asia Alam, UNO Provansho Some Mohan and Government officials were also present. Later, chief guest Rejowan Ahamed Tofique MP distributing the three double cabin pickups to the three police stations.

S.V. Govt. Girls’ School, Kishoreganj arranged the annual sports competition- 2020 at its play ground on Tuesday. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowhdury as chief guest and Civil Surgeon Dr Habibur Rahman and District Education Officer Md. Children Fair begins in Rajshahi

A two-day Children Fair was began here on Wednesday day aiming to educate parents about proper grooming up of children alongside ensuring congenial atmosphere for them in the society. District Information Office under its ‘Awareness buildup Communication for development of Child and Women Programme’ organized the fair on Mohanpur Upazila Parishad Compound premises in the district. The two-day fair included opening rally, competition on different issues, cultural function and film show. With Assistant Commissioner (Land) Zahid Bin Kashem in the chair, Deputy Director of Local Government Division Parvej Raihan addressed the opening ceremony as chief guest while Deputy Director of District Information Office Nafeyala Nasrin, Upazila Vice-chairman Sanzida Rahman and Officer-in-Charge of Mohanpur Police Station Mustaque Ahmed spoke as special guests on the occasion. The speakers unequivocally called for collective efforts of all government and non-government organizations concerned to protect child rights for their proper grooming. Protecting children from all sorts of violation, repression and deprivation is needed for building a healthy and knowledge-based future generation. Parvej Raihan said the present government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is very much positive towards protecting the child rights and urged the field-level government and non-government organizations concerned to supplement the government endeavor.
