Robbers loot Tk 8 lakh in M’bazar

Armed robbers numbering about 10/12 robbers looted valuables worth around Tk 8 lakh from a house at Uttar Kalimabad area of Sadar Upazila in the Moulvibazar district on early Wednesday . According to the family, around 10/12 musk robbers looted gold, cash and others valuables worth around Tk 8 lakh from the house. The loser Rowson Ara Jaman was from Kalimabad area of sadar Upazila of the district. She is a doctor of Rajnagor Health complex in Moulvibazar. Source said, after taking the members at gun point then they committed the robbery in the house.

Organization of Development Programme for the under Privileged (ODPUP) an NGO of establishing rights of a sexual minority organiged an advocacy meeting with Journalists Forum held at its office conference room on Wednesday. Senior journalist Subir Basak was Presided over the meeting. It was addressed among others by District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal, Senior Journalist Alam Sarowar Tito, Ashraful Islam and ODPUP Manager Md. Anisuzzaman.

POPI-REE-CALL Project and Oxfam International jointly arranged a view exchange meeting on domestic violence at POPI House in the town on Wednesday. Project Manager Md.
