Workshop on Autism, Neuro -Dev held in Rampal

A workshop on Autism and Nuero -Development Disability was held in Rampal National Academy for Autism and Neuro-Development Disability Authority arranged the workshop. Being presided by UNO of Rampal Upazilla Tushar Kumar Paul, Upazilla Chairman Sk. Moajjem Hossain inaugurated the workshop as special guest. Upazilla Vice Chairman Nurul Haque Lipon and Mohila Vice Chairman Hosneara Mily were present there as special guest. Dr. Polash and Md. Sajjad Hossain Khan imparted training on the session. In the workshop , the authority casts light on the causes of Autism and related disease, symptoms of physically challenged children, their behavior and the ways of removal of the problem . They have mentioned that physically challenged children repeats the same word again and again, can not maintain eye contact during speaking, like to live lonely, like to eat same food at the same time, like a single color, can not express their joys and sorrows etc. The main reason of autism is for genetical change. They have informed that government has introduced law in 2013 that will maintain the right of physically challenged children. It is also known from the workshop that they will get special facilities in the examination and their question will be easy and candid as they are not well in comparison to physically sound children. They suggest that if parents find any symptom, they should meet doctor and follow the advice given by them. OC (Inspection) Md. Jahidur Rahman along with other government officers, Principal of different Madrasha, Headmaster of different Primay and High School, Ex-aasistant Prof. Alhaj Akbar Ali, Rampal Press Clun President Howlader Abdul Hadi and Secretary Md. Saiful Alam Boktier, representatives of NGO, Immam of Mosque and selected representatives of different community were present in the workshop. The function was directed by Upazilla Higher Education Officer Md. Ziaul Haque.

A triennial meeting of Machgao Union Awami League was held on Monday evening at SR Patwari Quality Educare Institute campus in Baraigram under Natore district. This meeting was presided over by former UP Chairman Khokon Mollah while District AL Health & Population Secretary and Upazila Parishad Chairman Dr. Siddikur Rahman Patwary was present as a chief guest in the meeting. In the meeting, a committee of 61 members was declared. In the committee, former UP Chairman Khokon Mollah and Atikur Rahman Master were elected as a Chaiman and a General Secretary respectively.
Attack on journo protested in Bagerhat

Under the auspices of Bagerhat Press Club a human chain was formed in front of the Club on Wednesday morning with Adv Md Mozaffor Hossain, President of the Press Club in the chair protesting the physical attack on Rakib Uddin Pannu, Khulna -based Correspondent of TV Channel-71by the employees of Khulna WASA on Sunday while he was discharging his professional duty. The human chain was addressed among others by its (Press Club) President Adv. Md. Mozaffor Hossain, General Secretary Alhaj Abdul Baki Talukdar, The New Nation correspondent Prof. ABM. Mosharraf Husain, BSS Correspondent Adv. Md. Shah Alam Tuku and the TV channel-71 Correspondent Bisnu Prosad Chakrabarty. All the speakers strongly condemned the physical attack on Rakib Uddin Pannu by the WASA employees and a traffic police and demanded the immediate exemplary punishment of those who including the concerned traffic police are responsible for this abhorrent happening. On the other hand, the speakers highly praised Talukdar Abdul Khalek, Mayor of Khulna City Corporation for his timely intervention in the matter.
