Kosovo detains Muslim woman over Iran

Kosovo police on Wednesday said they detained an ethnic Albanian Muslim woman for allegedly inciting terrorism on social media after she deplored the U.S. killing of a top Iranian general.
Ikballe Berisha Huduti will be detained for 48 hours following a request from prosecutors, police said in a statement. She was arrested Tuesday, it said, adding some electronic devices and other relevant evidence was later taken from her home. It wasn’t immediately clear if she had a lawyer.

Military copter crash kills 2 in Afghanistan

An Afghan military helicopter crashed on Wednesday in the country’s western Farah province, killing the two pilots on board, a defense ministry official said.
The Mi-35 chopper crashed around 11 a.m. in the district of Pur Chaman, said Rohullah Ahmadzai, the ministry’s spokesman. The helicopter was en route from the provincial capital, the city of Farah, to the district headquarters when it went down, he said, adding that a technical problem cause the crash. An investigation was underway.

Bird flu hits swans in China’s Xinjiang region

China’s agriculture ministry said an H5N6 avian flu virus outbreak has been detected in swans in the western region of Xinjiang.
Fifteen out of a group of 150 swans had died from the virus and another 15 were ill in the waterfront of a park and pond in Yining county in Xinjiang, the ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

One killed, several injured in Pakistan blast

At least one person was killed and several others were injured on Tuesday after an explosion in Pakistan’s southwestern Quetta city, according to a media report.
The blast occurred near a vehicle of the security forces close to Liaquat Bazar, according to Express Tribune. The nature of the blast is yet to be determined.
