Final school examination result was declared and reception was accorded to brilliant students at the Bonpara Laboratory School of Baraigram upazila at school premises on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the School Managing Committee Prof Dr Abdulla -Al Mamun, Islamic Studies Department, Rajshahi University. Bonpara Pouro Mayor K.M Jakir Hossain was present as chief guest while Associate Prof. Shafiullah Ansari of Bonpara Degree College, Senior Journalist Md Saifur Rahman and Pouro Councilor Md Ataur Rahman were present as special guests . It was also addressed among others by the Headmaster Abu Bakkar Siddik,student’s guardians Md Habibur Rahman,Rafikul Islam Bablu and Md Aminul Islam. The meeting was conducted by Ziaur Rahman Zuyel. Final school exam. result was announced by the headmaster and prizes were distributed to the brilliant students by the chief guest.
Two persons held with drugs

Two persons were arrested with drugs in Kishoreganj on Tuesday night . Member of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested them with 5 bottles of wine and 60 yaba tablets from the district .The arrested was identified as Abdur Rahman Baburchi (52), son of Late Abu Mia of village Satal Nowanagar under Kishoreganj Sadar upazila of the district. Deputy Director of RAB- 14 (CPC- 2) Lt. M. Shovon Khan said RAB members raided Sholakia area under Kishoreganj Sadar upazila and arrested him with 5 bottles of wine. In the other hand same date RAB also drive Bartish area and arrested Md. Aminul Islam (25) son of Aftab Uddin of village Boila under Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila of the district. Case was filed under Narcotics Control Act with Kishoreganj Model Police Station.
Nazrul Conference begins in Habiganj
HABIGANJ: A five-day long National Nazrul Conference began at district Shilpakala Academy in the town on Tuesday. State Minister for Cultural Affairs K M Khalid inaugurated the conference participating in a function held at the Academy this morning. Deputy Commissioner Kamrul Hassan chaired the function while Executive Director of Nazrul Institute Abdur Razzak Bhuiyan was present as focal person. Advocate Md Abu Zahir, MP, Md Abdul Majid Khan, MP, Gazi Mohammad Shanawaz, MP, Deputy Inspector General of police Md Kamrul Ahsan, General Secretary of district unit AL Md Alomgir Chowdhury and Municipality Mayor Md Mizanur Rahman were present as especial guests in the function organized by the district administration with the help of Cultural Affairs Ministry. Additional Deputy Commissioner Amitav Porag Talukder delivered welcome speech in the function moderated by district cultural officer Magistrate Zannat Ara Lisa. Earlier, a colorful rally paraded different streets in the town on the occasion. Later, the Minister inaugurated a short film festival at Shilpakala Academy. The films were made on contemporary issues, reports BSS.
