Oklahoma man dies after altercation with police in Hugo

A man who was shot with a stun gun and pepper spray after an altercation with law enforcement outside an Oklahoma convenience store early Monday has died, authorities said.
The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said it’s looking into the death of Raymond Stapp. The agency said in a news release that Hugo police officers and a Choctaw County sheriff’s deputy responding to a report of a shoplifter encountered Stapp, 47, walking away from the store.

Brazil’s leader Bolsonaro falls in bathroom,

Brazilian leader Jair Bolsonaro was hospitalized Monday after suffering a fall at his official residence in Brasilia, the latest health scare for the 64-year-old, his office said.
Local media reported that Bolsonaro hit his head when he slipped in a bathroom at the Alvorada Palace. He was taken to the Armed Forces Hospital where he underwent a cranial CT scan, “which did not detect any changes,” his communications office said in a statement.

Jailed king of Mandela’s ethnic clan granted parole

The jailed king of Nelson Mandela’s ethnic group was released on parole on Monday alongside more than 14,600 other prisoners granted “special remission of sentence” by President Cyril Ramaphosa, the justice ministry said.
Buyelekhaya Dalindyebo, 55, is king of the AbaThembu, a Xhosa ethnic group that boasted Mandela as its most prominent clan member.
