South Korean President Moon Jae-in told Chinese leader Xi Jinping that while the sides may have felt “disappointed toward each other for a while,” their shared culture and history prevented them from becoming completely estranged.

A Turkish diplomat’s car was torched in Greece early Monday, police said, amid escalating tensions between the two NATO allies. Nobody was hurt in the incident in Thessaloniki, Greece’s second city. The Turkish consular staffer’s car did not have diplomatic license plates, police said.
Eight die in Philippines after drinking wine

Eight people died and hundreds were taken to hospitals in the Philippines after drinking coconut wine believed to contain high levels of methanol, authorities said Monday.
The victims all attended gatherings over the weekend in the town of Rizal, southeast of Manila, and complained of stomach pains after drinking the wine, known locally as “lambanog”.
3 dead, 7 injured in 4 shootings in US city of Baltimore

Three people died and another seven people were injured in four separate shootings in Baltimore, the U.S. state of Maryland, over the weekend, local media reported on Sunday.
One of the shootings happened at 1:45 ET (0645 GMT) on Sunday and involved two unidentified suspects – one with a rifle and another with a handgun -who opened fire at a group of people lining up outside the iVilla Hookah Lounge at 225 Park Ave in downtown Baltimore.
