The final game of the Municipal Football Tournament was held at the Baralbridge Playground in Bhangura Upazila of Pabna recently. In this match Tangail Football Academy has been champion to gave one Goal to Kushtia Wonders Club. Alhaj Mokbul Hossain MP from Pabna-03 and Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Land Ministry gave a cash prize of Tk 60 thousand for the champion team and Tk 40 thousand for the runners up team. At this time, Md. Baki Billah Upazila Chairman, Golam Hasnain Rashel, Mayor of Bhangura Municipality, Sajib Shahrin, Assistant Superintendent of Police Md Masud Rana Officer -In -Charge of Bhangura Thana,Councilors, Government Officers and Local representatives were present there. Mayor Golam Hansain Rashel organised the tournament and eight district teams participated in here.
Advocacy meeting held in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj District Administration including Directorate National Consumers Right Protect (DNCRP) organised an advocacy meeting on Consumers Rights Law- 2009, Safety Food Act- 2013 and Drug Act- 1940 with owners of Bakery, Hotel- Restaurant and Pharmacy held at Collectorate Conference Hall on Tuesday. DC Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury attended as chief guest Additional District Minister (ADM) Md. Golam Mostafa presided over the meeting. It was addressed among others by ADC (General) Abdullah-al-Masud, DNCRP Senior Assistant Director Md. Ibrahim Hossain, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, District Drug Super Farhana Yesmin, Magistrates Md. Shafiqul Islam, Magistrate Ornab Datta and businessmen Md. Shahidul Islam, Sayeed Miah, Haji Mostafizur Rahman and Md. Azmal Khan.
One killed in Meherpur road accident
MEHERPUR: A farmer was killed and two others were injured as a local vehicle overturned at Meherpur-Chuadanga road early on Monday morning. The victim was identified as Jamal Hossain, 42, a resident of Monakhali village of Mujibnagar upazila.According to the locals the accident occurred at Baradi Bazar area while a local vehicle ‘Agamon’ turned turtle losing its control while giving side to another vehicle coming from the opposite direction, killing the victim on the spot. The injured farmers- Abbas Ali and Ripon were rushed to the local clinic. Sadar Upazila Thana Officer in-chargeShah Dara confirmed the incident, reports BSS.
Polythenes seized, one detained

Based on a tip off, members of Bangladesh Coast Guard in Chandpur led by the Station Commander Lft A S M Lutfor Rahman launched a raid at a godown at Raldia Village near Baburhat Bazar under Chandpur Sadar Upazila on Sunday afternoon and seized about four thousand one hundred kilograms of banned polythenes. Valuation of the seized polythenes is Tk 8.20 lakhs approximately as per Government rate. During the drive, Executive Magistrate Selina Akter , Environment Directorate ‘s Inspector Uttam Kumar and concerned coastguard officers were present. One Md Wadud Hossain,32, was detained during the drive for his involvement . A Mobile Court led by Executive Magistrate Selina Akter fined Wadud Hossain Tk 15 thousand. Later the seized polythenes were handed over to the Directorate of Environment, Chandpur.
