Workshop on minor pulses production held in BARI

The Pulses Research Sub-Station, Gazipur of Bangladesh Agricultural Research Institute (BARI) has arranged a workshop titled “Problem and Prospect of Grasspea, Blackgram , Cowpea in Bangladesh” at the Institute’s seminar room on Tuesday. Scientists from different divisions of BARI were participated at the workshop which is funded by ‘Khesari, Blackgram, Felon variety evelopment, seed production and post-harvest technology innovation and dissemination programme’. BARI Director General Dr. Abul Kalam Azad inaugurated the workshop as chief guest in the morning. BARI Director (Pulse Research Center) Rais Uddin Choudhury chaired the workshop while Director (Research) Dr. Md. Abdul Wohab, Director (Support and Services) Dr. Babu Lal Nag, Director (Planning and Evaluation) Md. Habibur Rahman Sheikh were present as special guest. Project Director and Principal Scientific Officer of the Pulses Research Sub-Station, Gazipur Dr. Md. Omar Ali presented the keynote paper at the workshop.
5 gamblers held at Bhangura

Five gamblers were arrested by Bhangura thana police at Bhangura Municipality town on Tuesday evening .They are Jahangir Alom Bachhu (Former Councilor),Siddiqur Rahman,Raihan Ali,Motaleb Hossain and Swapon Ali. At this time, Police recoverd some gambling contents from them. Md Masud Rana Officer in Charge of Bhangura Thana confirmed the incident and said that the case was filed against the gamblers in gambling law.
Seminar on Road Transport Law- 2018 held

Kishoreganj District Police arranged a awareness seminar with transport owners, driver and helpers held at local Interdistrict Bus Terminal Gaital Kishoreganj yesterdaynoon. Police Super (SP) Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BPM (Bar) attended as chief guest while Kishoreganj Transport Assocation Convenor Lelin Royhan Shuvor in the chair. It was addressed among others by Former President of Transport Association Md. Helal Uddin Manik, Transport Owners Joint Convener Bilkis Begum, Sanak Convenor Saiful Haque Mollah Dulu, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal and Transport Workers Union President Abdul Kaiu, CAB Presidnet Alam Sarowar Tito, Trasport Leader Murad Reza were also present.
Sports equipments distributed
Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila Parished including District Sports Office arranged a sports equipment distributing programme among the 18 educational institutes and 10 clubs in Sadar area held at Scrcuit House conference room on Sunday afternoon. Dr. Syeda Zakia Noor Lipi MP attended as chief guest and DC Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury special guest while Sadar UNO Abdul Kadir in the chair. It was addressed among others by BCB Director Syed Ashfaqul Islam Tito as special guest and ADC (General) Abdullah-al-Masud.
