Three cocktails bomb were exploded at Zila Parished office and Porua Mayor residence in Kishoeganj town on Monday evening during the nation wide indefinite hartal and blocked by the BNP-Jamaat led 20 party alliance. Kishoreganj district police also arrested 4 persons including Pakundia Jammat leader Abul Kalam.
25 injured in clash over occupying water body

Atleast 25 people were injured in a clash between two groups of people over occupying water body under Kawdighi Haor on Fotepur Union area under Rajnagor Upazila in Moulvibazar on Friday. Source said, the clash ensued when a group led by Fajar Ali groups attacked Hazi Rafiq Miah groups in Abdullahpur villager, while they were trying to attack them in Kapania wate body under Kawadighi Haor area, said police. At one stage of altercation, they attacked each others, 25 persons injured from both the groups. They clashed for two hour on the spot, said sources. The injured were immediately they were sent to Rajnagor Health Complex. Seriously injured was referred to Moulvibazar Sadar Hospital. Seriously injured Aftori Begum, Amir Ali and Abdul Kadir were admitted in Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College.
Jamaat leader held in Moulvibazar

Miscreant’s torched two petrol-laden vehicles and one arrested in Sadar upazila of Moulvibazar on Tuesday morning. The arrestee was identified as Yeamin Ali, 45, Pouro Jamaat-e-Islami ameer. Some 15 to 20 blockaders torched the vehicles at Kamalpur Bazar area around 7:30am and fled away, said Moulvibazar Model Thana officer in-charge Abdus Salek. After being information, local Fire Service men doused the fire.

On the occasion, a function was held and it was presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sharif Nazrul IslamMP Shopon Bhattacharjee was attended as chief gust while Upazila chairman Amzad Hosen Lavlu the special guest. Among others Assistant Commissioner Kamruzzaman, UFPO Dr. Abul Kalam Azad, Youth Development Officer spoke . A total of 30 Tab PCs were handed over to the officers including MP and Upazila chairman.
Triennial confce of Bagehat Dist AL held

After long waiting of 10 years the much expected triennial conference of Bagearhat district unit of Bangladesh Awami League was held here in the local Khan Jahan Ali Degree College premises on Saturday morning amidst much enthusiasm with its President Al-haj Dr. Mozammel Hossain, MP of Bagerhat Constituency-4 in the chair. It was ceremonially inaugurated by Kazi Zafarullah, Presidium Member Bangladesh Awami League. Mahabubul Alam Hnif, MP and Joint Secretary General of Bangladesh Awami League was the chief guest in the meeting while Talukdar Abdul Khalek, MP and President of Khulna Mahanagar Awami League and S.M. Kamal Hossain, member of Bangladesh Awami League were present in the meeting as special guests. B. M. Mozammel Haq, MP and Organizing Secretary of Bangladesh Awami league was the main speaker in the triennial meeting.
