Founding Anniv of EBAUB celebrated in C’nawabganj

The 6th founding annivsary of EXIM Bank Agricultural University, Bangladesh (EBAUB) was celebrated yesterday in a befitting manner in Chapainawabganj. A colourful procession was taken out in the morning in Chapainawabganj town on the occasion. A discussion meeting was held at Chapainawabganj Zila Shilpakala Academy Auditorium with the treasurer of the university Dr. Md. Shamimul Hasan in the chair. The vice-chancellor of the university Professor Dr. ABM Rashedul Hassan attended it as the chief guest while Pro-vice chancellor of National University Professor Dr. Hafiz Md. Hasan Babu and principal of Nawabganj Government College Professor Shanker Kumar Kundu were present at the event as special guests.
Buffer Godown construction progressing fast

The construction work of Buffer Godown is progressing fast in Bhabanipur Pirgachha area under Sahapara union of Sadar upazila in the district. Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) under the Ministry of Industries is implementing the work under the Building of 13 Fertilizer Buffer Godowns project involving TK 394 crore, office sources said. Sena Kalyan Sangstha and Towfiqa Engineering Limited, Dhaka is constructing the godown with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes of fertilizer while Government of Bangladesh is providing the fund, sources said. Around 40 percent work had already completed and the rest work would be finished by June 2020, it is expected, said an official of BCIC. A long cherished demand of the fertilizer dealers is going to be fulfilled because of starting the construction work of the godown on Gaibandha-

Training on skilled leadership held in Gazipur

A two day-long training programme on creating skilled leadership out of simple worker was held at Borodewara area in Tongi organised by Gazipur City Chartra League recently. The programme was conducted by the former student leaders, expert in the field concerned. The topic of the training programme included history of the Chhatra League, art of delivering lecture, presentation of a programme, making effective slogan, political propaganda through online, anti-drug activities, disaster management and first aid etc. The training was attended among others by Adv Azmat Ullah Khan, President of the Gazipur City Awami League. He taught the trainees the history of the Chhatra League and the political norms and etiquette in the training program. He called upon the trainees to be the part of the development of the country as soldiers of the Bangabandhu. Nahid Mandal, member of the Advisory Council of the Jatiya Bitarka Porishad, delivered on how to deliver a lecture. Hasan Khan Babu and Golam Maksud, directors of Shundar Jibon Madakasakta Niramoy Poramorsh and Punrabashon Kendra, imparted training on anti-drug. Rajib Haider Sadim, former Vice-President of Gazipur City Chhatra League stressed on making effective slogan and other related issues. Al-Nahiyan Khan Joy and Lekhok Bhattacharyya, Acting President and Acting Secretary General respectively of Bangladesh Chhatra League thanked the organisers for arranging such a programme, says a press release.
