Fruit Tree Fair begins in Kapasia

In front of the concept of ‘nutrient-compatible foods for planned fruit cultivation’, a 3-day fruit tree fair has been launched in Kapasia, Gazipur on Tuesday morning. Inauguration, rallies and discussion meetings were held at the fair organized in the upazila parishad. Upazila Parishad Chairman and Awami League Vice-President Alhaj Adv Amanat Hossain Khan.. spoke as the chief guest at a meeting of the fair after the visit of ‘fruit tree fair-2019’ organized by Kapasia Upazila Administration and Department of Agriculture Extension. Among others, Upazila Agriculture Officer Suman Kumar, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Rakib Hasan, Chandpur Union Parishad Chairman Mizanur Rahman Master, Pabur High School Headmaster Lokman Hossain and assistant office assistant and deputy officers of the concerned office were present. Later, the chief guest distributed free fruit tree saplings among the students of different schools. The fair will run until Thursday, August 1. Every morning and evening will be open to visitors.
Bangabandhu-Bangamata Gold Cup Football final held

Final of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib Gold Cup football tournament was held on Wednesday afternoon. Two matches for boys and girls were held from the primary school level at Sheikh Russell Mini Stadium. In the final match, girl’s team of Poschim Para Government Primary School won the championship by defeating Tulshiram Government Primary School team at 1-0 Goal. In the second match, boy’s team of Bangalipur Nijpara Government Primary School team won the championship by defeating Lakshpur Government Primary School team at4-3 Goal. Member of Parliament (Women reserve seat), Rabia Alim handed over trophies and gifts to the champions and runners-up team. She was the Chief Guest of the event. Saidpur Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) S. M Golam Kibria Presided over the Ceremony. Upazila Primary Education Officer Shahjahan Mondal delivered the welcome speech. A large number of spectators enjoy the final tournament. Member of Nilphamari-4 constituency, Ahsan Adelur Rahman, inaugurated the tournament on July 28. Three teams of girls and three teams of boys participated in the tournament.
10 senior citizens accorded reception in Natore

Hundred years old 10 senior citizens were accorded reception in Natore district under the auspices of Natore district police administration on Tuesday. Senior citizens were Sultan Munsi, Monir Uddin, Sultana Begum, Delzan Bibi, Maloti Bibi, Zoykol Munshi, Ismail PK, Nimzan Begum, Mobu Mollah and Aisha Bibi. Their age are in 100 to 120 years. SP Natore Saifullah Al Mamun distributed among them crests, money, sari and lungi. Then ASP Akramul Hossain with other police officers was present.
