Workshop on road accidents held in Chandpur

A daylong workshop for the professional drivers was held at the premises of Chandpur Police Lines -on the outskirt of the district town recently. Chandpur Police Administration arranged this workshop on ‘ Enrich and improve the skill of the professional drivers to reduce road accidents’. Over one hundred professional drivers of Chandpur took part in this workshop. Traffic Inspector(Admin) Faysal Ahmed Bhuiyan presided while Police Super Jehadul Kabir was the chief guest at the workshop. Additional Police Super Md Mizanur Rahman(Promoted as SP) and Additional Police Super Md Asaduzzaman were the special and the honorable guests. Chandpur Unit of BRTA Inspector Md Ziauddin, Chandpur CNG run Autorickshaw Sramik Union’s President Kazi Shahriar Hossain and Secretary Omar Faruque among others spoke on the occasion. Traffic Inspector Md Israfil conducted the workshop. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest has informed the workshop that during the last one year time, as many as fifty men, women and children were killed in road accidents in different parts of Chandpur area. He has called upon the drivers to drive their vehicles very carefully and with full attention so that no accident takes place anywhere on the road due to their negligence.
3 held with fake Indian notes in Rajshahi

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Sunday arrested three people along with 10 lakh Indian rupees for their alleged involvement with producing foreign currency from a house of Ramchandrapur area in Rajshahi. The arrestees were identified as Rubel of Godagari, Mokleshur of Shibganj and Jahangir of Natore sadar upazila. On secret information, the elite force conducted a drive at the house of the area and arrested the trio. They also seized several currency-making machines and other equipment, said Syed Abdullah Murad, squadron leader of RAB-5.
Debate competition held at Bhangura

A debate competition marking on the occasion of National Fisheries Week was held at Government Bhangura Union School and College auditorium on Sunday. The subject of debate “Cultivated fish is the only way to fulfill needs of Bangladesh”. The student of Bhangura Union School and College was the championwho was speaking against the title. The student of Bhangura Jorina-Rahim Girl’s High School was the Runners up who was speaking in favor of the proposal. Md Abdul MatinUpazila Fisheries Officer organized the competition. Upazila Agriculture Officer Md Enamul Haque was the moderator. The members of the judge panel were Professor Mahbub-ul-Alom,Head of the department of political science of Govt.Haji Jamal Uddin Hons.College, Sub-Registrar Millat Hossain, Women Affairs Officer Hasnat Jahan and Academic Supervisor Rita Rani Paul.
