Saidpur Upazila Admin distributes 34 van rickshaws

Saidpur Upazila Administration distributed 34 van rickshaw among the poor and helpless people in order to make them self-reliant through providing employment material. UNO SM Golam Kibria handed over the van rickshaw among the poor at Saidpur Upazila Parishad on Wednesday. He said that the present Government is working for the welfare, poverty and sufferings of the poor. We are working in Saidpur to give a self-reliant and poverty-free Saidpur as a gift through the rehabilitation of helpless and poor people. In addition to the development of the country, the present Government is implementing various programs to reduce poverty and as its continuation, Upazila administration is working to help the poor people of Saidpur. It is mentioned that according to Bangladesh Annual Development Program 2018-2019, as part of income generating equipment delivery program for the distressed and helpless families, the Van Rickshaw was distributed among 34 families of Saidpur Upazila. Upazila Vice-Chairman Ajmal Hossain, Upazila Women’s Vice Chairman Sanjida Begum Lucky, Upazila Project Officer Abu Hasnat, Upazila Engineer Raihanul Haque and Muktijoddha Commander Ekramul Haque and General Secretary of Saidpur Awami League Mozammel Haq were present on the distributing time.
Awareness meeting of community policing held

With a view to create mass awareness, as per instruction of KMP Commissioner Khandokar Lutful Kabir, awareness meeting was held at different Wards of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) on Wednesday noon. In order to reduce terrorism, drug, women harassment and militancy from the society, such meeting was also held at Moheswarpasha community center in 1 No Ward of KCC under Daulatpur police station in the city on Wednesday noon. President of 1 No Ward community policing forum Nasibul Hasan Sannu presided over the meeting. Molla Jahangir Hossain, deputy police commissioner (DC, North, KMP) was present as chief guest in the meeting while freedom fighter Nur Islam Bando, additional deputy police commissioner (ADC, North, KMP) Sonali Sen, Alhaj Maksud Alam Khaja, 5 No. Ward Councilor and Awami League leader Sheikh Mohammad Ali, 1 No. Ward Councilor Sheikh Abdur Razzak, Daulatpur Thana policing committee’s President SM Nurul Haque Nuru, general secretary, Wahidul Islam and Officer-in-charge (OC) of Daulatpur police station Kazi Mostak Ahmed were present as special guests in the meeting.

Sacheton Nagorik Committee (Sanak/ Concious Citizen Committee), the local organ of Transparency International Bangladesh, exhanging views with the authourity and stakeholders of Barishal General Hospital on Sunday noon stressed on maintaining transparency, accountibilty and development of management and service. The programme held at the room of the hospital suprintendent was presided over by Dr. Delwar Hossain, resident medical officer of the hospital, and conducted by Monirul Islam, area manager of TIB. Among others Shah Sajeda, president SANAK Barishal, Kajal Ghosh, president Barishal Sangskritik Sangothan Samonya Parishad, Jibon Krishna Dey, children orgnisation leader, Anjuman Ara Begum, senior staff nurse, Sekandar Badsha, store keeper of the hospital, adressed the programme.
