4 drug peddlers held in Barishal

Four drug peddlers arrested and five others including two police personals accused in two separate incidents of Yaba trading in Barishal. Mehedi Hasan Molla, sub inspector of Barishal Bandar police station, said police arrested Mamun Haoladar and Rubel Haoladar from Durgapur bus stand on early Friday and recovered 2700 pieces of Yaba tablet from their custody. In interrogation the arrestees confessed that they were engaged in collecting Yaba from Laxmipur district and supplying those to their agents at Nalcity upazila of Jhalakathi district through Barishal. Four mobile phones also seized from the arrestees. The arrested two were sent to jail after lodging a case under narcotic control act and sent to jail after producing before the court on Friday In another incident Halim Haoladar, a fish trader, and Altaf Hossain, fourth class employee of health department, were arrested from Raipasha- Karapur area under Barishal Airport police station, on Wednesday night. Mahbub Ul Alam, officer in charge of Airport police station, said due to family feuds over land properties with retired jail guard Abul Kalam and his brother police constable ( now staioned at Jashore) Giasuddin planned to trap their nephew Habibur Rahman, a rental motorcycle driver and son of late Abdul Khalek of the uinon, with Yaba.
Eye Camp held in Rangpur

A day-long eye camp was held at Kaikuri Union Parisod under Pirgacha upazila in Rangpur on Wednesday. Rangpur Community Eye Hospital organised the day long Inclusion eye camp with the financial assistance of UKAID under sights savers “Right to health Project”. A good number of poor, disable and autistic people including men, women and children received treatment free of cost at the camp.
Agri inputs distributed among farmers at Gafargaon

Developed agricultural inputs like one power tiller , one ripper, two treasures and two hand spares have been given to Bashia Man CIG Somobay Somity at Tangbabo Union of Gafargaon Upazila under Mymensingh recently. The agricultural inputs were distributed among farmers under the project of NATP-2 by the financial help of AIF-2 at Upazila Parishad ground on noon. During that hours UNO Kaji Mahbub ur Rahman, Upazila Agriculture Officer Deepok Kumar5 Paul, senior Fishery Officer Zahirul Islam Akanda, Agriculture Extension Officer-Sakhwat Hussain, Agriculture Extension Officer Luthfe al Muiz, Deputy Asst. Officer-Sirajul IslamMollik, Somobay Officer-Mir Kashem Senior Sangbadik-Fakir e Matin were present . Agriculture Officer Deepok Kumar Paul said, labourers’ crises will be solved by using this developed agricultural inputs. Paddy will be planted and reaped within a short time by using this inputs. Besides they will rent this inputs after finishing their demand. President of Bashia Sommitte Israil Mridha and secretary Al Amin received this inputs.
