Trump to formally announce re-election bid for President on June 18

US President Donald Trump said Friday that he would formally announce his bid for re-election in 2020 on June 18 at a rally in Florida-a state that was key to his victory in 2016.
Trump’s wife Melania, Vice President Mike Pence and his wife Karen will also be part of the event in Orlando at the Amway Center arena, Trump said on Twitter. “I will be announcing my Second Term Presidential Run… on June 18th in Orlando,” he said. “Join us for this Historic Rally!”

US pulls tax exemption from Pak diplomats

The United States said Friday that it had suspended tax exemption privileges enjoyed by Pakistani diplomats in Washington due to parallel disputes with Islamabad in the latest dust-up between the countries.
Under the 1961 Vienna Convention, diplomats around the world do not pay taxes in countries where they are posted, with embassy staffers in Washington routinely flashing State Department-issued exemption cards when presented with restaurant bills or going shopping.

The mastermind behind a would-be “gladiator school” for populists set up in a 13th-century Italian monastery vowed Saturday to fight Italy’s culture ministry in court over attempts to evict it.
The ministry said Friday it had begun proceedings to oust the school from the sprawling Certosa di Trisulti former monastery near Rome in a blow to former Trump White House adviser Steve Bannon who pledged to help finance the project.
