Hospital fines for irregularities in Sylhet

A mobile court of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB-9) fined Ma O Shishu Hospital in Sylhet Tk 60,000 recentyly. The mobile court fined the hospital as it was selling expired medicines and charging exorbitant prices than usual from the consumers. Tipped off, RAB-9 conducted a drive at the hospital under Kotwali police station of the city and seized a huge number of expired medicines.
Terrorist arrested with arms
Police arrested listed criminal from Green Road area of Sylhet medical on Wednesday. The arrested deceased as Sohail Ahmed (Bird Suhail) 38, son of Alauddin Sikder, 188 of Shamimabad residential area in Sylhet City. Sylhet Kotwali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Selim Mia said on secret information, SI Nur Alam, SI Siddique and SI Morshed along with the force, he carried out the operation in Hotel Al-Sabuj and seized the bird suhel with arms.
Int’l Leadership programme on Education held

The Preliminary third round of International Leadership programme on Education was held at Police Lines School and College campus in Rangpur on Friday . Global Educators Initiative for Sustainable Transformation [GEIST] innovation and Leadership Center[GILC] organised the event. Principal, Police Lines School and College. Rangpur, Prof Dr KM Jalalauddin Akbor inaugurated the event as chief guest while, GEIST Rangur Regional Director, Khurshiduzzaman Ahamed was in the chair. GEIST Deputy Regional Director, Rangur, Zakir Hossain moderated the session. Around two hundred students and teachers from different educational institutes of the city joined the event. International Leadership programme on education is an international competition on english language and leadership designed and implemented by GEIST International Foundation. A total of ten participants from each division will be selected to join a two day long intensive session on English Language and Leadership in the capital . Of them top eight students will be finally selected to represent Bangladesh in the International Olympiad on English Language and Leadership in Hanoi, Vietnam on August 9-10 of this year. They will also have the opportunity to join International STEAM[ Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics] Conference in Hanoi. Participants will have to undergo a test on education, panel discussion and presentation based on English and global aspects. Students of grade 3 to 12 are eligible for the competition.
