Shrimp pollen recovered, 18 fined in Barishal

A team of Coast Guard seized 5 lakhs shrimp pollen ( Renu Pona) worth Tk 10 lakhs from a trawler Laharhut on Kalabadar river of Barishal Riverport police station on Tuesday. The team produced the detained eighteen before a mobile court on Tuesday noon, said Sanjib Sanyamat, Upazila Fishery Officer. Humaun Kabir, UNO of Barishal Sadar upazila forming a mobile court fined each of detained 18 shrimp pollen trader per head Tk 2 thousand. Then seized pollen freed on the river, the fishery official said.
Discussion meet of Shujan held

Shujan, Saidpur Upazila Committee arranged a discussion meeting on Bangladesh political modification and citizens thought at Saidpur Press Club on Tuesday. Prizes were distributed at Char Baghun Public School and Social Welfare Association at Kapasia and Kaliganj border in Gazipur on Monday . Former Additional Secretary of Health Ministry Md. Ayubur Rahman Khan distributed the award and spoke as present as Chief Guest. President of the organization and President of Primary Teachers’ Association Ashraf Uddin Mollah presided over programme and general secretary of the organization Md. Shahidul Alam Mollah delivered welcome speech in the ceremony at Eidgah ground near the library. Pubali Bank’s retired SP and Muktijoddha Mosharraf Hossain Sarkar Ratan, Kapasia Press Club General Secretary and Prof Md. Shamsul Huda Liton of Taraganj College, Momen Bhuiyan, German expatriate Khandaker Shamim Ahmed, Head of Ikra Model Kindergarten Teacher Mamun Ahmed and Phulbaria Multimedia School Scholarship students Yetibha M Siphatullah Sifat also addressed the function.
