Dakhil Centre Secy relieved for massive malpractices in exam hall

On charge of irregularities and massive malpractice by the examinees of Chandpur Ahmadia Fajil Madrasa during their Arabic 1st Paper Exam on Monday, in the Exam Halls at Chandpur Government Technical High School Centre,(Chandpur-1 Centre), Sadar Upazila UNO Ms Kaniz Fatema relieved the Centre Secretary and Principal of the Madrasa- Maulana Mostafizur Rahman of his exam responsibilities from Monday at this centre. In his place, Assistant Secretary Najir Ahmed- Principal of Monihar Madrasa, was appointed the Centre Secretary. Contacted, the UNO Kaniz Fatema said, she all of a sudden, visited the exam halls at Chandpur Government Technical High School Centre, where several hundred examinees of Chandpur Ahmadia Fazil Madrasa were appearing in Arabic 1st Paper Exam of Dakhil Exam. During her visit, she observed massive malpractices among the examinees and collected book’s page -cut copies from almost each of the examinees. Later it was found that more than one sack- full of page- cut copies were recovered from the examinees – to the surprise of all! She warned and alerted the examinees against any unfair means in the exam halls by any one from now on. Later, she relieved the Centre Secretary Mostafizur Rahman of his responsibilities on charge of these malpractices and appointed the new Centre Secretary Najir Ahmed. She advised the new Centre Secretary to conduct the exam fairly and properly as it is a public exam. Contacted, the ADC (Education and ICT) Md Mainul Hasan confirmed the report. He said, ‘It was unexpected from this madrasa’.
Dutch- Bangla Bank catches fire in Jashore

Banking activities at Jashore Branch of Dutch -Bangla Bank remained suspended for several hours due to a fire that originated from electric short circuit at around 3pm on Thursday. Dipak Chakrawarti, deputy manager, Dutch Bangla Bank, Jashore Branch told that firefighters, the police and power office were informed quickly as smoke was seen at the server room of the bank at around 3pm . Firefighters rushed to the spot and doused the fire later. Jahangir Alam, senior station officer, Jashore Fire Service told that firefighters put out the fire soon after it was originated from electric short circuit. The estimate of loss was not done immediately.
RAB raids on coaching center in Keraniganj

RAB raided different coaching centers in Keraniganj on Thursday. Members of the RAB-10 Crime Prevention Company (CPC-2) of Keraniganj conducted raids at 4 coaching centers in Banda Dakpara and Chunkutia Babiestand . The coaching centres are Satota Coaching Center Director Humayun Kabir, Confidence Coaching Center Director Saidul Islam, Director of MR Coaching Center Moshiur Rahman and Director of Pathshala Coaching Center Rakibul Islam. Executive Magistrate and Assistant Commissioner (Land) South Keraniganj Circle Pramath Ranjan Ghatak and RAB-10 Crime Prevention Company (CPC-2) Compamy Commander Major Syed Imran Hossain in the direction of the torrential court. Meanwhile, RAB-10 Crime Provision Company (CPC-2) Assistant Police Superintendent Abul Kalam Azad, mobile court assistant Majirul Haque.
