Rajshahi Dist ERO new body formed , reception held

 A 19-member executive body of Rajshahi District Equal Rights Organisation (ERO) has been formed recently. Human Rights Secretary of Rajshahi University Equal Rights Organisation Kanuong Marma declared the 19-member executive body held at Rabindra Arts building of RU. Raj Kiron Das, a fourth year student of Mass Communication and Journalism DEPARTMENt of the university is a founder president of the organisation. He will supervise the newly elected district committee. Shetu Roy, a resident of Horizon Palli of Budhpara adjacent to the university has been made the general secretary of the new committee. The other nominated office bearers are- vice presidents Joni Hela, Palash Pramanik, assistant general secretaries Sonali, Sree Sumit, treasurer Sree Biki Kumar, human rights secretary Monisha Sarkar, publicity and publication affairs’ secretary Antor and sports secretary Sree Sochin Kumar. Besides, the organisation accorded reception to the newly admitted ethnic minority and marginalised students of Rajshahi University. Presided over by the organisation’s founder president Raj Kiron Das, RU Folklore department assistant professor and adviser of the organisation, Rajshahi unit Parbatya Chattagram Pahari Chhatra Parishad president Dipon Chakma addressed on the occasion, among others. Noted, to protect the rights of the ethnic minority and marginalised people, the organisation was launched at Rajshahi University on 20 July in 2018.
IT Job Fair held at Khulna University

A Job Fair on IT was arranged at Khulna University on Wednesday. Hundreds of job seekers from remote area of the division gathered in the fair. Organised by Bangladesh Computer Council and associated by Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services and Bangladesh Association of Call Center and Out Sourcing. The fair was inaugurated by VC Khulna University Prof Mohammad Faikuzzaman. Director Student’s Affairs of the varsity Prof Sharif Hasan Limon, Coordinator Associate professor M Enamul Hoq, Project Director LICT Dr. Rezaul Karim were present among others. About 10,000 job seekers registered here name. Among them 250 will get job, organisers told.
Brother held for killing sister in Narail
NARAIL: Police arrested a man for allegedly beaten his sister to death at Kalinagar village in Naragati recently. The deceased was identified as Fatima Akhter, 19, daughter of Mokles Molla of the village. Soon after the indecent, police arrested her elder brother Ripon Molla, 35, said Razab Ali, officer-in-charge of Naragati Police Station. Ripon confessed over the murder saying that he first hit her in head and later dumped the body at a nearby water body, he said, reports UNB.
