Distribution of winter clothes in Jhenaigati

Winter clothes have been distributed among the cold-hit people of 7 unions, including border region of Jhenaigati upazila in Sherpur recently. The government has distributed 2961 blankets allocated . It distributed 14th blanket (winter clothes) in 7 unions. Sherpur-3 Honorable Member of Parliament, AKM Fazlul Haque-750 blankets are distributed. Upazila chairmen have been distributed among two hundred and remaining Kambal Upazila Nirbahi Officer, among the distressed, helpless, elderly and separately. The blanket was present during the distribution, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rashed Hasan, Station Engineer (LGED) Rafiqul Islam, Project Implementation Officer Abdul Mannan and Awami League leaders. Talking to Upazila Chairman Aminul Islam Badsha about this, he said that the winter clothes are not as cold as compared to the winter. Therefore, it is necessary for government to allocate more necessary winter clothes for the winter season. Officially allocated 2961 winters have been properly distributed, said Upazila Project Implementation Officer, Abdul Mannan.
6 hijackers, kidnappers arrested by RMP

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police has arrested 6 hijacker and kidnapers from different areas in Rajshahi on Monday . Shamukdam police arrested them. In this regard a press conference has held at RMP Conference Hall on Wednesday afternoon. They are identified as Ullash Hossean, son of Nadim, Mozzamel, son Tanvir, Abdul Motin, son Raju Ahammed, Jamil Hossien, son of Jarzish, Bijoy, son of Abdul Kuddus and late Ramzan, son of Rayhan Islam both are from Shamukdam Thana of Rajshahi. RMP DC Heymaitul Islam, ADC Tariqul Islam, Senior AC (CTSB) Iftakhair Alom and AC (Shamukdam Thana) Hafizul Islam and AC (Sadar) Habibur Rahman were present .  
Old man commits suicide to get rid of loan -burden

In order to get rid of huge debts, an old man allegedly committed suicide by taking poisonous drug, ,used for driving insects away from paddy fields, at his dwelling house at Kashimpur vilage under Matlab Uttar Upazila recently. The deceased was identified as Mohammad Shahjalal, 55, a resident of Kashimpur village under Gozra union of Matlab Uttar Upazila. Shahjalal’s close relative Golam Mostafa said, his brother- in- law Shahjalal went abroad taking huge amount of loans (Tk six lakhs) from different people and NGOs to better his fortune but could not do well there. Being frustrated, he returned home and failed to pay back his loans fully. In order to get rid of the burden of huge loans, he took poisonous tablet at around 6 pm. At first he fell seriously ill at home after taking tablet. Then he became unconscious and was rushed to Matlab Uttar Health Complex and later, as his condition turned to be critical, he was referred to Chandpur General Hospital . But when he was brought to Chandpur General Hospital , the on duty doctor declared him dead at around 10 pm. On getting information, Sub Inspector from Sadar Model Thana Fazlur Rahman recovered the body today, Sunday, morning and sent it for post mortem cell.
