Under the auspicious of the Kapasia upazila administration of Gazipur, a workshop on informing the village court on the local level in collaboration with the Madaripur Legal Aid Association was held at the upazila parishad meeting room recently . Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mossa Ismat Ara, District Facilitator Zillur Rahman, Project Coordinator Fazilatunnesa, Police Inspector (Operation) Moniruzzaman Khan, Upazila Social Service Officer Shahadat Hossain, Women Affairs Officer Nasrina Akhter, BRDB Junior Officer Sayem Al Suman, Upazila Coordinator Saidur Rahman. Non-government organizations BRAC, ASHA, Home, journalists and other representatives of social organisations spoke.
Two maunds of jatka seized

A mobile court led by an Executive Magistrate seized two maunds of jatka fish from a Dhaka bound launch- MV Jhanda-2 on the Meghna river early Sunday near Chandpur launch ghat. Acting on a tip off, the mobile court led by the Executive Magistrate Marufa Sultana Khan Hira Moni along with River Police personnel led by Sub Inspector Matin and ASI Md Monir intercepted the launch and recovered the jatka fish fries , about two maunds contained in two big boxes.
