Youth dies from electrocution in Jashore

A young man died after being electrocuted in Joypur village of Minirampur upazila on Saturday morning. The deceased was identified asYounus Ali, 25, son of Yousuf Ali of the village. Deceased’s family members said Younus came in contact with a live electric wire while he was trying to clean leaves from an electric line. Later, he was taken to upazila health complex where the duty doctors declared him dead.
Jubo Dal leader held for cutting roadside trees
CHANDPUR: Police arrested a local Jubo Dal leader on charges of cutting down more than one hundred trees owned by the government besides Chandpur-Faridganj-Raipur regional highway in Faridganj upazila on Friday afternoon. The arrestee Md Nasiruddin alias Cut Nasir, joint secretary of upazila unit of Jubo Dal, was later sent to jail after being produced before a local court in a case filed with Faridganj Police Station for illegally cutting roadside trees of the Forest Department, said Rajiv Kumar Das, officer-in-charge of the police station, reports UNB.
Child drowns in Fakirhat

Samia Khatun (04), daughter of one Md Salah Uddin of Gaborkhali Bazar area within Mansha-Bahirdia Union under Fakirhat Upazila in Bagerhat district met her tragic end when she was drowned in a pond in the village Town Noapara within Piljanga Union under the same Upazila on Thursday when she went to pay visit to the house of her paternal grand father along with her mother.
