One killed, 20 injured in roadside mishap at Gournadi

One passenger was killed and 20 others including driver were injured on Friday after their carrier bus plunged to roadside ditch at Baro-Kasba of Gournadi on Barisal-Dhaka highway. Among the 20 injured six sent to Barisal Sher E Bangla Medical College Hospital and five to Gournadi Upazila Health Complex, said Nurul Islam, Gournadi police station officer in charge. Mahabubur Rahman Chowdhury, Gournadi highway police station officer in charge , said killed passenger was identified as Mohiuddin Haoladar, 44, son of late Mobarak Haoladar from Pramanandasaha village of Wajirpur upazila of Barisal and employee of a shoe factory in Dhaka. Among the injured 15 were named as Toma, 35, Saiful Alam, 31, Rubel Hossain, 15, Ramoni Majhi, 55, Razzak Haoladar,49, Prince, 20, Rubel, 22, Khairul Alam, 50, Faruk Alam, 58, Farhan Rifat, 22, Tahmina, 26, Oli Ahmed, 35, Mizan, 20, Mantu Boayati, 44, driver, Sumon, 40, supervisor of the bus.

Abdul Wahed has been elected President of the Chapainawabganj Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the next two years (2014-2016).Md. Rasidul Hasan and Md. Abdul Hannan Hanu have been elected senior vice president and vice president.
The other members of the committee are: Md. Mohsin Ali, Rezaul Karim, Md. Isarul Hoque, Md. Kamal Uddin, Golam Murshed, Shahidul Islam (Shahid), Md. AK Asgar, Md. Bahram Ali, Md. Bus accident in Gazipur hurt 33 JL activists

Atleast 33 leaders and workers of Jubo League were hurt in a road accident at Salna area on Mymensingh Highway road on Sunday morning. Of them five were admitted to Gazipur Sadar Hospital and ten were referred to Dhaka Medical College on critical condition. Eye witnesses said on way to Jubo League conference by a bus this accident was occurred at Salna area . On receipt information Advocate Rahmat Ali M.P. went to Gazipur sadar hospital to see the hurt passengers. Hurt Jubo League President of Monipur Union Tapan Chandra Debnath told the journalists, leaders and workers started journey by bus from Bager bazar area under Sreepur Sadar upazila in Gazipur district to attend Jubo League conference in Dhaka city. Most of the hurt passengers are resident of Bager Bazar in Sreepur upazila.
