A team of DB Police of Mymensingh arrested a drug-peddler named Rubel Mea (35) with 400 piece yaba at Gafargaon under Mymensingh on Saturday last. The arrestee Rubel is the younger brother of Rasulpur Union AL convener and UP chairman Haji Saiful Islam of Gafargaon Upazila. Locals claim .Rubel is the most notorious drug-peddler in this area. He has been selling drug in this area for a long days. OC Mukhlesur Rahman of DB police confirmed that Rubel has been arrested from Rasulpur Bazar More with 400 piece yaba at Gafargaon on Saturday morning A case is preparing against him.
Journalist Daniel Sugit Bose awarded by environment award
Intellectuals, political, social and cultural organiSations have congratulated Daniel Sugit Bose for getting environmental award 2018 in Khulna divisional level from department of Environment for environmental education and publicity through personal professional career. Daniel Sugit Bose has been working for 17 years in the southern region of Bangladesh agriculture, environment and various issues and prospects and development related reports published in television and newspapers. In the process, Shrigyan Aishish Dipankar Research Council awarded Atish Dipankar Gold Medal – 2010 to Daniel Sugit Bose in recognition of his Journalism work and contribution to the country. Omar Miraj GQ Foundation awarded the Independence Gold Award – 2011 to Daniel Sujit Bose for his contribution to journalism and his work. And he also achieved the Best script Writer and Journalist Medal-2012 on Agriculture and Development by Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University. Recently Lokman Hossain Mia, Khulna Divisional Commissioner handed over the Environmental Award -2018 to Daniel Sugit Bose in Khulna DC Office Auditorium which was given by the Ministry of Environment’s Department.
Digilab Health Center attacked, 3 held

Some indentified youths attacked Digilab Health Center in Kishoreganj town on Monday evening. Director of the organisation and District Krishak League Secretary Anowar Hossion Bacchu was injured. Victim Anowar was admitted to Sadar General Hospital. On information, police rushed to the spot. Police also arrested 3 men in this connection.
4 youths get 2-yr jail for drug trading
A mobile court of RAB- 14 led by Senior Magistrate Abu Taher Sayeed in a anti-narcotics drive at Josudal area in Sadar Upaizla on Sunday night and arrested 4 young men and recovered 25 yaba tablets. The court also sentenced two years jailed for yaba carrying and fined ten thousand taka each. The convicted are Zakir Hossain (35) son of Nazrul Islam, Shaheen Mia (26) son of Quddus Mia, Forhad (23) son of Shahabuddin and Jibon Mia (24) son of Abul Hasem at Josudal area in Kishoreganj saadar. They were sent to Kishoreganj District Jail.
