JCD, Jamaat leaders arrested in Kachua

Upazila President of Chatra Dal leader and President of Badhal Union Jamat-e-Islam under Kachua Upazila in the district were arrested by the police of Kachua PS in the early hours of Friday from their own village houses apprehending their taking preparations for committing sabotage activities. JCD president is Shikdar Mashiur Rahman Mukta (28) of village Tengrakhali and Jamat President is Shaikh Nurul Islam (46) of village Sangdia uner Kachua Upazila in the district. But nothing was found in their possession. They were shown arrested in connection with 2 scuffles lodged with the PS on Friday in the after noon.
Mobile shop owner sentenced for stalking in Barisal

A mobile court on Saturday sentenced a mobile phone serving shop owner in the city for stalking girls. The sentenced accused was Sabur Khan, 26, owner of Khan Telecom Service near Government Syed Hatem Ali College in Nabagram Road Chwmatha area of the city and son of Jalal Khan. Al Muktadir Hossain, administrative magistrate, led the mobile court at the spot at about 11:50 AM Saturday. It was alleged that stalker Sabur Khan teasing the girls and young women since long days during his business and it was alleged to different corners of the society and administration.
65 pc people die in non contaminated diseases

Speakers at an orientation on risks of non contaminated diseases told that such diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, stroke, cancer and so on claims 65.5 per cent deaths among the total deaths across the globe. Changing of some habits can ease the risks. The orientation was held at Jessore Cantonment High School on Thursday. Asia Arsenic Network arranged the programme to make the students as well as the teachers conscious about the diseases at the school. Moshiur Rahman, project manager, Non Contaminated Diseases project presented the key note paper in the orientation in presence of Salah Uddin, headmaster, Jessore Cantonment High School and officials of the project Obaidur Rahman, Poli Ghosh, Azizur Rahman, Rabiul Islam and Sanjoy Hore.
Housewife sustains burn injury died

A housewife was sustained burn injury with petroleum goods had died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Sunday morning after fighting for life for the last 11 days. She was undergoing treatment there. The victim was identified as Sheuli Khatun, 30, wife of Mokter Hossain of Chapali village under Kaligonj upazila of Jhenidah district. Sheuli’s husband Mokter Hossain said, Sheuli was sleeping in the house in the night of October 22 last. Some unknown miscreants in the early hours of the day had set fire in her body after spraying petroleum goods through the window.
Founding anniv of JSD observed in Kishoreganj

Jatiyo Samjtantril Dal(JSD) arranged a colourful rally, seminar, discussion meeting and weeklong documentary film show marking its 43rd founding anniversary across the country on Friday. A discussion meeting was organised by JSD Kishoreganj District Committee at its office premises on Friday. Abdue Rahman, President, JSD Kishoreganj Unit presided over the meeting. The national and party flag were hoisted over the meeting. It was addressed among others by senior advocate Nasiruddin Farooki, Md Shahbuddin, Bakul Mollah, Golam Mostafa and student leaders Md Paish and Habibur Islam.
