Man killed in Katiadi over family feud

A young man was stabbed to death by his elder brother Manikkhali Konapara village in Katiadi Upazila of Kishoreganj over family feud on Friday evening. The victim was identified as Md. Masud Miah (35), son of Hajee Md. Noruzzaman, Ex R.I of Police. Locals and Katiadi OC Md. Zakir Rabbani said that , police rushed to the spot and dead body was recovered. The murdered over family feud. The dead body was sent to Kishoreganj 250- Bed General Hospital morgue for autopsy. A case was filed in this connection with Katiadi Model Police Station.
Founding anniv of Shilpo Sahitya Sangsad observed

A discussion meeting, cultural programs and awards were distributed on the occasion of the 107th founding anniversary of the traditional and oldest literature &cultural organization Shilpo Sahitya Sangsad. On Thursday evening the organizers organized the colorful ceremony at the Murtuza Institute. Saidpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Md. Moksedul Momin was the Chief Guest of the ceremony. Saidpur Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Parimal Kumar Sarker was the special guest. The program was chaired by the Vice- President of Shilpo Sahitya Sangsad Ajmal Sarker. General Secretary of the organization journalist Aminul Haque delivered welcome speech at the beginning of the ceremony. The entire program was presented by Akmal Sarkar Raju. Later, a cultural event was held and it was conducted by journalist Shakir Hossain Badal. Prizes were distributed among the winners of the music, dance and painting competition organized by the organization itself on account of the founding anniversary. Syedpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Md Mokshedul Momin distributed the prizes among the winners.
Minor cricketer awarded by BKSP

The minor all rounder cricketer M Tahmid Bin Alam Zamee (11), son of AKM Zahangir Alam, Zonal Manager of Thangamara Mahila Sabuj Sangha (TMSS) and Mst. Tamvis Sultana Tanvir, an assistant teacher of Kalai Ghonpara High Scholl was awarded for outstanding contributions under 12 cricket carnival by Bangladesh Krira Shikkha protisthan (BKSP). or his radical contribution in the team brings happiness for the family members along with well-wishers of his villages. He is also a class eight student of Dupchanchia BIAM laboratory school and collage hailing from Dupchanchia municipality of Bogura district. Now he is selected as participant of Talent Identification Project 18 organised by BKSP -RTC Dinajpur. He is listed as four numbers for keeping a praiseworthy contribution to the team ongoing game. A happy mood is prevailing at his house along with municipality area. Mayor Belal Hossain, president of Dupchanchia press club Golam Faruq, Secretary KM Belal Hossain and journalist Emdadul Haque welcome him and prayed for his bright future from their heart.
Farmer electrocuted in Morelganj

Masum Shaikh (34), a farmer of Mejbah Ahmed, Sub- Assistant Plant Protection Officer of Morrelganj Upazila Agriculture Office in the district met his tragic end when he was electrocuted in his guava garden in the Upazila on Thursday morning. At 9 am the ill-fated farmer was working in the Irri field and at one stage when he tried to start an electricity run power pump he, somehow, touched a live wire and was electrocuted.
The deceased was the son of one Malek Shaikh of village Uttar Kalikabari under the same Upazila.
