Open House Day observed at Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj District Police arranged an Open-House Day at Sadar Model Police Station premises in the town on Thursday. Police Super Md. Mashrukur Rahman Khaled BMP attended as Chief Guest while Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abu Shama Md. Iqbal Hayet presided over. Additional Police Super Md. Nazmul Islam and Poura Mayor Md. Pervez Miah were attended as special guest. It was addressed among others by Sadar Awami League President Adv Ataur Rahman, Additional SP (Sadar) Masud Anowar former Sanak President Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Journalist Sakauddin Ahamed Rajon, Bouli UP Chairman Awlad Hossain, Jasudol UP Chairman Imtiaz Ahmed Rajon, Community Police Sadar Unit Secretary Md. Shahidul Islam, Ganatantree Party Leader Freedom Fighter Habibur Rahman Muktu, Freedom Fighter A.B Siddique, Sadar OC (Investigation) Md. 694 bottles phensidyl recovered at Kalaroa

Police recovered 694 bottles of phensidyl by chasing smugglers at Kalaroa border in Satkhira on Wednesday. The phensidyl was recovered from the road at Sainippara Ground in Kadpur village on the border around 6am. However, police could not arrest any smugglers during this time. OC of Kalaroa Police Station Biplob Kumar Nath said , on the basis of secret information, one can know that a large chunk of phensidyl brought from India is coming to Kolaroa by adding engine van with that road. Later, the accompanying police members led him to the streets. Shortly after the smugglers reached there, they found the presence of the police and vanished the engine van and they ran away with the driver. Police recovered 694 bottles of Phensidyl from the spot and searched the van. The estimated market value is Tk 3,47,000 . A case has been filed with Kolaroa police station .
Child fair begins at Dariapur in Sadar Upazila
GAIBANDHA: A two-day long child fair began on the premises of Dariapur Aman Ullah High School in Sadar upazila on Wednesday amid much festivity to the children. District Information Office and Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Gaibandha has jointly arranged the fair to create awareness among the children about the prevention of early marriage, drug, and militancy for building a better society. To protect the children from any hazard and nuisance side by side with flourishing their mental is another objective of the fair. An inaugural function was also held on the school premises with UNO Rafiqul Islam in the chair. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Gautam Chandra Pal addressed the ceremony as the chief guest and superintendent of police (SP) Abdul Mannan Miah, female vice chairman of Sadar upazila parisahd Rashid Begum, district women affairs officer Nargis Jahan, and local union parishad chairman Aminur Zaman Ringku were present as the special guests. DC Gautam Chandra Pal said the present government is pledge-bound to protect the children’s rights to flourish creativity, talent and merit of the future generation. The DC also urged the children to grow up with the mentality of serving the nation and standing beside the people particularly the helpless persons during their sufferings. Terming the children as the future of the nation SP Abdul Mannan Miah urged them not to involve in militancy and eve teasing, and not to take drug and dowry, reports BSS.
