Reception to primary meritorious students

A reception was accorded to students who achieved primary scholarship was held at Dupchanchia Sammilito Pre-cadet School under Dupchanchia upazila of Bogra on Saturday. Before the function, a discussion meeting was arranged in the office premise presided over principal Emdadul Haque while Golam Faruq, President of Dupchanchia Press Club was present as Chief Guest. Alhaj Abdul Ali, President of the school, former acting principal Alhaj Ibrahim Khalilullah, Golam Muktadir Sabuj, Golam Rabbany, Mizanur Rahman, Shama Pado, Nito Gopal Paul, Harunur Rashid, Shameema Akter, Shaheeda, Nargis Begum, Rina Parvin and Husna Ara spoke among others. The speakers said a total 13 students took part in the examination held 2017 and six abstained scholarship among them. The result of the school is 100 percent pass every year. Later, the guests have handed over crests to the scholar students.
HSC examinee stabbed in Jessore

A higher secondary certificate examinee was stabbed by a youth as he (examinee) protested his (accused) obscene act on Thursday. The wounded is Al Amin, 22, HSC examinee of Jessore Government City College and also son of Iman Ali of Shankarpur area in Jessore town. Ariful Islam, husband of the victim’s sister told newsmen that Abu Taleb of the area stabbed him as he protested the acts of the accused on early Thursday. ‘The youth very often used to throw obscene words towards his (victim) female relative.

A view exchange meeting and oath- taking on anti-corruption was held at Gafargaon under Mymensingh recently. A view exchange meeting and oath taking on anti-corruption was attended by students, teachers at Hatikhola High School and visited Sotota Store at Gafargaon Upazila . On the 6th day of Corruption Prevention Week’ at Hatikhola High School , Md. Jahangir Alam, Deputy Director of Anti-corruption Prevention Commission of Mymensingh was present in the view meeting as Chief Guest. Headmaster Md. Abdus Salam of Hatikhola High School presided over the meeting. Dr K M Ehsan ,President of Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee spoke in the meeting as a special guest. Vice-president -Nirupoma Debnath of upazila Anti-Corruption Committee, Sultan Ahmmed , member of Upazila Anti-Corruption Committee delivered their speeches . General Secretary Md.Rafiqul Bashar of upazila Anti-Corruption Committee conducted the meeting.
