Hajj conce held in Satkhira

The 14th Haji conference was held at Kamalnagar Tufan Convention Center and Resort in Satkhira organised by Haji Kalyan Sangstha on Saturday morning. Mir Mostaq Ahmed Ravi MP inaugurated the conference. Presided over by acting president of the Haji Kalyan organisation Sheikh Nizam Uddin, Khulna’s Hafiz Maulana Mufti Imran Ullah spoke as the chief negotiator in the programme. District Awami League President Bir Freedom Fighter Alhaj Monsur Ahmed spoke on the occasion as the special guest, Zilla Parishad Chairman Alhaj Md. Nazrul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Abdul Hannan, Satkhira municipal mayor Alhaj, Tajin Ahmed Chishti and general secretary of Haji Kalyan Sangstha, eminent social worker and dentist Alhaj. Md. Abul Kalam Babla also said. More than 200 Hajis of the district took part in the conference.
Book Fair Week begins in Kishoreganj

Cultural Ministry, District Public Library including Kishoreganj District Administration arranged a Book Fair Week in Kishoreganj at Art Council premise on Thursday. A discussion meeting and cultural function was held at Art Council hall. Zilla Parished Chairman Adv Md. Zillur Rahman was attended as chief guest while ADC (Gen) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil in the chair. It was addressed among others by Sadar UNO Abdullah-al-Masud, Hindu Kallan Trusti Senior Advocate Dolob Bhowmik, P.P Adv Shah Azizul Hoque, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Senior journalist Saiful Haque Mollah Dulu, Former Poura Mayor Md. Nurul Islam Nuru, freedomfFighter Former Unit Commonder Md. Asad Ullah, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal and Megistrate Aklima Begum.
Int’l Sports Day observed
Directorate of Sports, Kishoreganj District Administration, District Sports Association jointly arranged a rally, discussion, many sports competition marking the International Sports Day on Friday. A discussion meeting was held at Kishoreganj Stadium on Friday morning. ADC (Gen) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil was attended as Chief Guest while District Sports Officer Al-Amin Subuj in the chair. Poura Mayor Md. Pervaz Miah and CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito were attended as special guest. A rally was brought out in the town marking the Day.
