SME Fair ends in Kishoreganj

Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) Foundation, Bangladesh Bank, Ministry of Industries , FBCCI and Kishoreganj District administration jointly arranged a week long SME Productive Fair- 2018 and it ended at local Stadium Playground on Tuesday. Dilara Begum Asma MP attended as Chief Guest while Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury presided over. It was addressed among others by District Awami League President Ad Kamrul Ahasan Shajahan as a special guest, ADC (General & DS) Torafder Md. Akhter Jamil, Sadar UNO Abdullah-al-Masud, Chamber President Mujibur Rahman Belal, CAB President Alam Sarowar Tito, Former Sonak President Saiful Hoque Mollah Dulu, Women’s Chamber President Fatematuz Zohura, women leader Bilkis Begum, Md. Alauddin and Rima Akter.
34 power connections given at Shibalaya

Manikganj Polli Bidhut Samity (PBS) gave 34 new spot connections at Bagjan village under ShibalayaUpazila in Manikganj district yesterday. Under the direction of PBS Senior Manager Obaidur Rahman new connection was given. PBS Information Service Co-ordination Dewan Md. Farid said, only Tk. 400 for reserve fund and Tk 50 were taken for each meters. PBS Assistant General Manager Md. Tajul Islam Bhuia, Accountant Santash Kumar Sarker, Mohadebpur UP Chairman Abu Jahid Mohammad Mahmudul Amin Duke, electrician Md. Shahidul Islam, among others were present there. New members of PBS were very happy getting new connection without spending any cost.
One suspected Shibir man held at RU

Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL),Rajshahi University (RU) unit handed over an outsider to police after beating from Shah Makdum (SM) hall of the university on Saturday night, on suspicion that he was involved with the Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS), the Jamaat-E-Islami-backed student organisation. The arrestee was dentified as Ismail Hossain, at Bagmara thana in the Rajshahi district. Victim said that he was living in a rented mess at Mirzapur adjoining of the university area. He came at Rajshahi to learn motor driving recently. “BCL men confined me and handed to police after beat as a suspected activist of Shibir when came at hall dining to take meal at night”, he also claimed. RU unit BCL vice-president Arif Bin Zahir told that “we handed Ismail over to police as got evidence of Shibir involvement against him”, he added.
Motihar police officer-in-charge (OC) Shahadat Hossen said, RU unit BCL handed over an outsider suspecting as shibir man and proper steps will be taken after the interrogation.
