An opinion sharing meeting with local journalists was organized by Gazipur Poura BNP unit at its party office on Thursday afternoon. nBNP central leader , former M.P Hasan UIddin Sarker delivered the speech as chief guest . He said , law and order situation in Gazipur district is not satisfactory at all. of BNP. Hasan uddin sarker also added in his speech, Minister for freedom fighters Adv. A.K.M Mojammel Hoque has taken step to identify the real freedom fighters in the distrct. It is very good work for us. Because I am also a freedom fighter. So minister Mojammel Hoque is doing good for the people of the country. Hasan uddin sarker expressed satisfaction and thanked to minister.
Torturing Ripa Aktar protested in Barisal

Right activists on Thursday morning organised human chain, agitation procession and handed over memorandum in Barisal protesting torturing teenage Ripa Aktar by boyfriend and his family members on Monday night to Tuesday morning by chaining in front of their home. The victim was sent to shelter home after recording judicial statement of the victim on Thursday noon. The protest programmes were organised 48-hour after the recovery of the victim by police with the help of local councilor to face criticises from the mass people and media against activities of right activists and NGOs for their failure to show prompt action to save the victim. Barisal Sammilito Nari Nirjatan Protirodh Committee (Alliance for preventing torture against women in Barisal) organised the programmes in front of Ashwini Kumar Hall in the city.
One held with phe nsidyl in C’nawabganj

RAB-5 arrested one person with 886 bottles of phensidyl from Chak Alampur under Chapainawabganj Sadar upazila last night. The arrested person has been identified as Md Mainul Islam, 30, son of Lokman Ali of Alinagar under Shibganj upazila of the district. RAB said, acting on secret information, an operation team of RAB from Chapainawabganj camp raided the area at around 8-15 pm and detained an easy bike. After searching a bag of mangoes, RAB members recovered the bottles of phensidyl.
Housewife commits suicide in Satkhira
SATKHIRA: A housewife allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at Ballavpur village in Ashashuni upazila on Friday. Family sources said Rekha Dash,40, wife of Bharat Das, was found hanging in her room in the morning. Bharat Das said Rekha had been suffering from anxiety and depression due to her sickness and financial crisis. Ashashuni thana officer-in-charge Ahsan Habib confirmed the incident, reports UNB.
